I discovered this off topic section and wanted to show you guy what I have been working on lately. It's a 3rd generation pickup. My father bought this truck off of his cousin in '87 when he was 17. He's had it a long time. It has not ran since 2008. Been doing a little bit of work to it trying to get it ready for my first vehicle. It a 1984 Chevrolet Custom Deluxe K10 4 speed with granny gear. It has a rebuilt 250hp LT 350 small block out of a '72 Corvette. It's got 373 gears, 35s, and a 4" lift. The cab floor is toast. It's a ongoing project.
@AllisKidD21 thank you and yeah solid. The front end is a corporate 10 bolt. Its basically = to a Dana 44. Now the corporate 10 bolt rear end is garbage. They do not like 35s and 35s aren't that big. I knew dad had broken it a couple times but it was way more then that.

@CraftsmanQuad19 yes 14 would be great. They should handle all the way up to a 44". Now the thing about 12 bolt is its quite similar to the 10 bolt. The 10 bolt actually has a bigger pinion gear so I would think it be the stronger on me out of the 2.

Been working on this ol girl. Gotta get it tagged and inspected soon after I do the repairs. Threw a new electric ignition module in a pow she fired after 12 years. Ran in to more problems though. The Oil Cooler Adapter that the oil filter screws up to it pitted and all of the engine bay, tire, suspension, and ground got dumped on. Went through a good bit of oil trying to locate the leak. Thank God for cameras. Wasn't gonna do a video but was like have it's all been recorded so might as well. Put in a huge order for fuel system components. Time to RIP the bed off.

love these trucks, glad to see you getting it back on the road
Kind of have no choice to get it back on the road. No budge for a new used truck. It was dads first truck. Only reason why he kept it these last 12 year was because I had to have it. It's sad haw bad its gotten from just sitting. Cab is toast. All my parts came in except 2 vent hoses and 2 fill hoses for the tank. There gonna be delayed 6-8 weeks. Throwing me behind even longer.

You should be able to get a new floor to weld in? Not too hard of a project, just time consuming. Im in the process of patching the floor in my 86 Dodge. I just needed a small patch though.

40s anyone? Think I'm gonna go another 4" of lift. This truck was my dad's baby. He had this truck back in high-school 1987. It's been in the family for a long time and after a couple years it's time to get it back on the road again. Shes been sitting for 15 years and after loosing my father to Covid a couple months ago I'm motivated to finish it. Im gonna miss sitting around the campfire listening to the story's with this truck. Now if you've followed this build before we all know this truck keeps blowing the rubber seal on the oil filter. I believe it has something to do with the release value on the oil pump. Some how it's building crank case pressure. New pump is going in it tomorrow. Let's cross our fingers or I'm gonna have to pull the motor. This is the last thing on the list it could be.
