VOTE - Time for a face-lift!

ATLTF has had the same THEME for years.  It is an old and used up one.  It has been re-skinned several times.  It has/had code that was erroneous or not needed. (I accidentally lost all the good and bad code).

I am looking to REFRESH the site starting at the end of the build-off.  Below is a "Concept" of what I am looking in doing.  There are some obvious changes needed to some imagery as the theme doesn't have images for custom options.

There would be some other customization as time goes along.

Thoughts?

I think the sample theme pictured looks decent. Little bit bigger buttons at the top is nice I think.

It won't be "Exactly like" the images but mostly.  Some images inside the forum I will transfer.  I also agree the larger menu buttons would be nice.

I think it looks ok, I’ve always loved the style of the forum, even though it has been largely unchanged.

Since the layout is basically the same, no changes should be made in usability so I think that’s good. More or less another refresh from our view right? I understand it’s a lot of recoding but looks like just another color/backdrop change to me.

I don't mind it the way it is either really, but either way.

To be honest, I think the one in the photo looks a little more dated. But I've only been using the site for 8 months so I'm not near as tired of this background as some of you guys are. I'm fine either way.

Background will be different.  Something a little more ATLTF than just a red honeycomb.

Guess I should mention what I will keep from that theme.  Bigger menu buttons, structure, red bars on dark instead of here it it black bars on red.

Ditching right away on that theme:

Background
the Topic Icons (no squares)
the above and below a post icons.  I will keep the grey and green circle icons on the current setup for now.

I added another poll option.

New theme idea looks pretty neat though.

Im not a real big fan of the black/red color scheme, could use more PBDG though?

That would liven up any forum, hahaha.

HAHA, I've just about fixed all the things wrong with the site now after this mornings issue.

Vote canceled.  It's actually the same theme just tweaked a different way.  No need to apply it.

Sorry for jumping the gun a bit. I will be robbing some elements of that forum though. Also, the red on red does hurt my eyes so I will applying the Halloween background for now.

Is there any way the new background could be a little darker? I'm not liking the way it goes with the green lettering...

hmm... wonder what it looks like on your screen. Green is fine on my screen, but I can darken.

Ditched the whole thing and opted to Halloween theme the page.

I was able to clean up a bunch of broken CSS on the page that was bugging me.
