| Trigger started out as a 1991 Wheel Horse 246H built by Toro. Eaton 751 hydrostat with no engine and almost 4000 hours on the chassis as a whole. Originally had a 16hp vanguard. To get it moving I put a modded 28ci briggs in while swapping out the hydro for an MST 206. Eventually I snapped the input shaft tower off the 206, and went to an 801 setting things up as a rally build like the picture below : After a while, it was definitely showing some fatigue in the frame and chassis components so I went all out, taking off a ton of cracking and bent metals to build this 'street rod' speed demon out of it: It ended up getting re-powered with a 22hp intek, ungoverned with upgraded valve springs and a 2.25:1 pulley ratio on the 801, lowered where possible, set with heavy wall 2x4 front axle, ample frame reinforcement and a raked out look. Hit 54.28 before it got sketchy and scared me enough to worry about it. It had a 7" disc brake, mechanical caliper. It suffered a little from sitting, and is going to get a full re-do this winter with a slightly less powerful engine. | |

| She looks super mean!! Really cool build!
What are you using for hubs on the rear? I noticed there were only two wheel studs. What are you using for hubs on the rear? I noticed there were only two wheel studs. at the point of the pictures it was only dummied up to get photos. it has standard 5 lug hubs that came with the 801, out of a ford/gilson circa late 70's | |
