I'm a 22 year old fabricator whose getting back into tinkering with garden tractors for fun, I had some success in my early teens doing pulley swaps and stripping the bodies off so I could get more speed and a few wheelies but now I want to build a more serious trail oriented machine. I found this site while trying to dig up information on a 1970s(I think) bolens g11xl I got as a base for my project

Welcome to the forum! That Bolens sounds like a cool start for a trail machine, does it have the Peerless 2300 series transaxle? Looking forward to seeing a build thread!

TractorData says peerless.

http://www.tractordata.com/lawn-tractors/001/5/6/1566-bolens-g11xl.html

This may sound crazy, but I do Ebay searches too for information.  I see that people are selling peerless 2350's for the G11XL.  Hello from the Willamette valley 2731072446

Good solid transaxle.

Welcome to the forum! I've got a 2300 too, they're really awesome. Practically indestructible.
