| Nice! I like ones like that which have a shorter look than some of them. Looks a lot sportier that way. Glad the new carb worked out well. It's annoying as heck when you have running issues. | |

| Thanks mr.mod! Yeah it had a horrible acceleration stumble with the old carb, and it was hard to start as well even after it was warmed up. Definitely very frustrating, but she's working great now! | the lack of a kick stand and a decent brake is the real shortfall of these great bikes. I built one for with my son when he was 5 or 6 and he quickly realized he wanted both features. I just bought a weld on kickstand kit from GPS or BMI but I needed a left hand brake lever to simplify things for a kid and the kill switch tab prevented installation of a standard unit so I cut the perch off a CT70 bar and welded that on and added a band brake on the clutch. What an improvement and the scrub brake is still there so he can stop if the clutch brake fails (say the chain falls off). | |

| Hey that's a pretty sweet little bike you got there! Cool to see another Streaker on here, haha. That band brake on the clutch is very very cool! I don't think I've ever seen that before, is a commonly done thing?
Either way there's a good chance I'll end up copying that design on my own bike, haha. I was gonna do a disk setup on the rear wheel but a clutch band brake would be much easier to rig up! Like you did I'll probably leave the scrub brake in place, just for making light stops and what not. | yeah the band brake was an overpriced kit from some go-kart place but you could totally make your own. its basically a clutch scatter shield with a cable barrel nut installed. You will probably also have to whip something up for a brake perch. This was for my kid so I didn't mess around and did a proper welding job. I'm the only drunken midnight test pilot in this family. | |
