CUB CADET 104 Puller

So I am formulating a plan with this tractor now, I want to build a stock class type puller & try and pull with it next summer maybe. At the moment baby steps and I finally got a motor for it, but the motor needs to be all set up and is missing parts etc. So it will probably take me 6+ months just to get all the parts I need for it to run. Its a CUB 104, also working on the 1450 here and there.....

Its a K241 original 10hp, I was going to get something bigger but I just want it to fit and work with stock parts, I have enough projects that are modified etc.

Nice! K Series are great old engines. Is that thing bolted to the blower shroud a bracket for the fuel tank or something?

Yes, I have allot of parts collecting to do before I get something going here...

i never responded to this but if feels like it has good compression, not too hard to turn not too light....


I am still trying to figure out what I am missing and why this part looks off center.... I am not 100% how the engine connects to this...

I'd look up an exploded parts list and try to figure it out.

Hmm, wonder if there's a coupler that's supposed to go between the clutch mechanism and the flywheel.

ok i asked around and got a diagram... there is a thing called a 3 pin driver that mounts to the flywheel and goes in those holes...it costs about 10 million dollars so im gonna have to find one second hand...

Just keep an eye out for spare change, might come across a few million under the couch cushions or what have you.

At least you know what you're looking for now. I wonder if one could be fabbed up from scratch? As long as you had a way to get the measurements the same as a factory one, it might be a possibility. Probably just easier to look for a used one though, haha.
