@Crazy_Carl ya good point I pulled out my other front axle, once i have time here I'll mock it up to see if it will be better, lol anything would be better then this Murray one
well it the 30mph mark, fixed the front end for most part it is alot better, I feel better going faster now. the belt is slipping in 5th gear, rework the clutch now
@Crazy_Carl ya I think I'm good with this setup for now just tweak it so its safer and make it last. I want to hit 33mph just to say I did, but I'm sitting to high.

so I took the axle apart it was so sloppy those plastic bushing are junk. I should have replaced them with brass ones but I dont have time for that lol, so I reamed out body washers to just fit over and welded them to the axle, so much better. I did loose steering to the right will have to fix that sometime. biggest thing now is a better clutch setup and pull the transaxle and check on how its holding up with the abuse and change it over to oil. ( I need to find the bearing size for it)

I'm not liking the washers. I would have ordered some bushings. Those washers have no lubrication and not a lot of surface area to wear on and they are not going to last long.
Maybe they just need to last long enough for the transaxle to blow.
took the transaxle apart again, to see how its holding up and why it kicks out of 5th but couldn't find anything wrong, good wear, no heat scores. gave it the good stuff Lucas will quite that thing down, I see if the shift linkinges are out

I had that issue with my Weed Eater when I pulley swapped it. Belt was rubbing just enough in 5th to push it into the spot between gears where the tranny acts like its in neutral.
well the Murray is done, pulled the transaxle again because it wouldn't go into gear, well I thought it wasn't but the input pulley keyway was gone and just spinning on the shaft. I fixed it and checked the gears again took and out for a Rip and then lost 2, 3, and 5th. so now its donating its engine and parts to the huskee

Do an autopsy. Would like to see what went wrong in that 920. I would not tear it down, I'd try to get an 820, or putting another 920 in with a lower ratio.
I will, na this one is done i dont like the Murray frame and front axle, I'll strip this one to help build the huskee and find another tractor to make a speed demon
