Wanted: Murray Lawn Tractor

Hey,
I'm looking for a 90's Murray.
Body should be complete, and not dented or rusted out . And Frame should'nt be rusted out or twisted. I do'nt need the Mower Deck.
Engine can be also blown, or good. also can be blown transaxle.
If you have some spare Engines or MST Transaxles, i'm also be interested.

I’ve got a couple engines and transaxle sitting around, as well as a mower junkyard near me so I can pretty much get whatever you want. Shipping from the US would probably be killer to go that far though

Look for older models before 1998, asas they have the msts and 930s in them.

The green hornets is an early-mid 2000s and has an mst

I don't know about Germany, but in the UK some Murrays are rebadged as Hayters or Mountfields so you could look out for them too.

Good News!

I got the probably best Birthday Present ever!

Once we hauled it home, i steal the Tires from my Dads Murray, and put them on it, to roll it in the garage.

Then i looked over it, and found some good and bad things.




















Bad Tecumseh Engine, but good MST 205! Frame is'nt rusty. Pretty good and cheap (in relation to the German Lawn Tractor prices)

I have some cool plans for it!

Nice score Seb! Looks like someone has tried re-branding it as a Volvo. Be sure to start a thread on this cool tractor!

yep, the previous owner botched on it a lot. Cool thing is the Oil temperature gauge that were added. Maybe i get the Tecumseh to run in the next days

If you can get it to turn over and gave compression, it WILL run. Might need some fuel and spark parts, but it’s possible.

Nice find!!! Good tranny, nasty old engine. At least this model does not have points and a condenser like the even older ones. The coil on one I had (little Murray rer I bought for 20 bucks then put a new coil on and sold for 100, as I did not want to mod it as it had a spicer tranny that was very weird.) Was bad so I ordered one off of Amazon for I think 25 bucks and it fired right up and ran great!

Tecumseh Lawn Tractor Engines are most blown, if they sell them here. I turned it over, and feeled, the piston is on there, because Air came out of the spark plug hole. And some fresh Gas also were in the Tank. Looks like someone tried to fire it up. And all the Dirt on top of the Mower tells me, is has sitten for a few Years, so the Carb will be clogged up.

You can buy it for you. I want to rebuild the MST, remove the Tecumseh after i get it to run, put 145x70x6 ATV Tires on the Front and 20x19x8 AG Tires on the rear, and fitting a rear fender from a other Mower on it, because the stock rear fenders are too smal for protecting me for the mud. If it will fit, i want to put in a 18HP B&S Vanguard V Twin with straight pipes. And a 2nd sturdier frame that welds on the stock frame to get rid of any frame flex. And LED Front Lights.

Nice! I only want to get the Tecumseh running, to get more Money for it.

Get an opposed twin, easier to find and it should fit if the hood is wide enough, my oppys are 18 inches wide .

IDK, maybe. AFAIK the Oppys are very big.
