Nice, glad you repaired it and didn't just go and buy another one.

So I sold the tractor on FB, posted it Saturday & had countless people emailing me about it..ended up selling it to a Mexican lady who had never rode a tractor before. I was like are you sure you want a 30 year old craftsman, but whatever people are in love with the bagger thing.....

$250.00, no money into it, just the carb work & I did swap a good set of tires onto it from another project, since they all leaked.

That one does look good! Paint work and everything is in pretty good nick.

You guys are gonna crap when you see this, but I bought two more tractors last night, one murray and one old MTD Hechinger tractor, anyway after I was messing around unloading, I went to try and see if my John Deere had spark...

So I pulled the sparkplug, unhooked the kill wire from the coil, held it against the block, jumped the starter and a FIREBALL shot out of the cyl & caught my leg on FIRE!
I had put gas in it the night before, trying to start it and the first chug of the starter shot the fuel out of the spark plug hole, hit the spark plug, and I was stop drop and roll all over the ground. Burnt a fist size spot on my leg, looks like a mild 2nd degree burn.

So be careful doing what the hell I did, I was in a rush & didn't put it together that it could happen. I just got a new phone last night so I have to update pics soon.

Daannnggg. I have had them fill up the cylinder with gas from the float sticking down and then blow out the exhaust and then backfire and ignite the gas and catch the engine on fire, but never my appendages lol. At least got lucky and only sprayed gas on your leg instead of all over your body, probably wouldn't have made it put of that one alive.

Wow, hope you're okay. I've set a couple of two strokes on fire while checking for spark and the fuel in the combustion chamber sprays out and ignites. Pretty scary!

Holy cow... Glad you are ok.  That could have been so much worse than your leg!

It has been brutal with this injury but dont look if you dont want see....

Anyway regarding tractors i sold the simplicity today for 300 bucks.....



Got that done and got the 26" trail wolf tires on my mower..... I bought another mower on my way home friday (grey craftsman mower), will get some pics up tomorrow just got my new phone working....

Ouch that looks painful! Sad to see the Simplicity go cuz it looks so cool but looks like sold for a good price. The trail wolfs look good on the Craftsman, should give it better traction.

Nice sale, kinda would miss it if I were you though.

OUCH... that looks painful. Like I said, it could have been your face or family jewels. Take care of that burn, it is pretty nasty still.

Anyway bought another grey craftsman on the way home Friday.....  I paid 70 bucks for it because it was "running"  but the battery was dead and couldn't prove it...So I spent the weekend fixing up, it had carb issues & a smashed front end but I happened to have a spare grey hood, so it is almost ready to sell.

Then on sunday I picked up this goofy sit on top grey craftsman.... I have no idea what im gonna do with it, I want to make a rear hood for it from that back half of a tractor sitting on there.   Paid 40 bucks for it and it came with two push mowers.

That little Craftsman RER looks nice, if you jack up the rear and look underneath and see a separate axle/diff and trans, it's a Peerless 700 which is pretty robust, they are used for racing and stuff. What kind of engine does it have?

I think its a Tecumseh 10 horse doesn't say briggs on it....

I have a 19.5 horse opposed motor sitting around that might work in it haha

Gonna put this up for sale tomorrow, how much you think its worth? I just sold one not too long ago for 250.00.  I think i might ask 275.00? 12.5hp 6sp 42" cut

Ask 300 and if it doesnt go for a few weeks lower it down to 250 and it's sure to go. At least that's my thought.

I just advertise on CL for tractor removal & get calls occasionally... The one is a cub cadet 2140 with a Onan engine...

The tractor is beat to sh*t and the wiring is totally fawked but the engine is good.... You guys think I should keep the engine or just get rid of the whole thing... I do not care about fixing it up. I was thinking about putting it on ebay just to get rid of it, but I hear good things about the onan engine.



The 69 and 82 i want to keep or fix up...
