I have a 14AH Motorbike battery in it, and it even is dead after 10 times starting the engine without running it long time under high rpms. Unfortunately they're expensive, otherwise I could try to fit a 2nd in there, to get 28AHs. I sparyad some lubricant on the starter bearings, but the starter doesn't turns hard, probably is the battery a bit underpowered, but luckily I have a pull start. I will run the LEDs off battery on Mud Murray cuz the Vanguard has only 1 wire coming from under the flywheel, I hope I do'nt discharge it faster than it charges, and I will put in Mud Murray a big Car battery.

| First Romp after repaintingYee, I pulled the deck off again, and romped it through the woods. I climbed hills, drove fast, everything that makes fun.... Here a btfl Pic of my Mower on a deep spot (if u guys remember, I took the same spot a pic once I had'nt repainted it) then I had unfortunately a Breakdown on the trail Yes, the damn POS shifter broke again!!! it's the 3rd shifter I made!!! the 4th will be BULLETPROOF!!!!!! No one should break it anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and then I drove 2,5 miles with the broken shifter back home! I needed to jump off it, and try to use the broken off nut as a pivot point, just guessing, which gear I'm in, I made it home, and that should be hopefully a lesson for me!! Back home I washed it cuz it was pretty dusty from some donuts I drove on a few areas! The inner tire spinned faster, and made lots of dust! I did a right direction donut 5 mins and a left 5 mins, in 25th gear, 3/4 throttle.... til the neighbors of the drifting area came out and told me to stop | |

Luckily that were my grandpas neighbors! Not mine! Not really! I need to do some more stuff to it! Want to call it done, but few things really need to be done!

| I made a new shifter outta the old FNR shifter of my Buds MTD (same model, he blew his rebuilt Diff-locked FNR in 6 Days, we replace it with a Peerless 930 6 speed, open Diff) And I thought: ,,How in H**l would it look, if I upgrade MTD from 16" to 20" rear tires" those are the Tires off Drifting Dynamark Pretty badass stance and stuff, but I do'nt really liked the look, and for mowing is a 2" step from front to rear height not that good, so I romped a bit with them, and swapped the stock size back on Those are pretty dry rotted Armstrongs with 3 times more tread than the Carlisle TUrfs on my MTD. | |

I have nothing that would fit, and my wallet bleeds for Mud Murray right now - MatthewD wrote:
- New shifter looks good. Hopefully this one won't break. I actually really like those 20" tyres on it, you should keep them on it. You could probably adjust the deck to be lower at the back to counteract the bigger rear tyres, or put bigger tyres on the front as Rich suggested.
I hope too. The Deck doesn't fit with them on, even with the 18"ers it was a fight. They go to My Buds MTD. I do'nt want to see dry rotted Armstrongs flying apart while driving 20MPH

| After probably 2 Months of runtime, I finally had a issue I was hauling steel home for my bud, and then I heard a bang noise and it got slower, and stopped. We hauled MTD to my bud, and I looked if I could fix it. yeah, belt issues. My favourite!!!! and that WAS the rear belt. Pretty hacked up and nearly impossible to drive back home. Luckily I and MTD got hauled home from my friends mower. THANKS! | |

| Dang. Must be either rubbing somewhere like Matt said or the pulleys aren't quite aligned. Probaby not a hard fix either way. | I don't see any cuts in the belt or rub marks on it. Could be that the belt, being stiff, just got stress cracks in it because of the belt routing of the pulleys (too sharp of a bend). That is unless you see an obvious cut on the belt that isn't in the pic. These extra wide belts are pretty stiff by just how they are made and are not made to go around a small pulley with a tight bend one way and then bending the other way. | |

- Ouch, need a new belt then. Check if there is anything that the belt is rubbing on or anything that the belt could catch on to cause it to wear like that. Looks like you've got a bit of toe out on your steering there too.
Front belt is Junk too. The green idler there it rubbed a bit. Never adjusted the steering til now lol - AllisKidD21 wrote:

Once I built it, I had no real problems, and that was the first time the belt popped off the rear. I figured between the Green Idler and the frame (there's a pivot point of some deck stuff) it rubbed kina bit and grooved a 1mm deep groove in the backside of the belt. But it just happened once I reassembled everything. Probably the Bolt has bent a bit or so - prancstaman wrote:

I unfortunately ca'nt put a thinner belt on, cuz the Varidrive is there. The belt has some cracks that reach til the layer that holds it together, and from flying off the pulley while driving 18MPH, the Belt got the big chunk ripped out. The back side is crooved from the frame. If I ca'nt fix it with new belts, I will SELL MTD cuz spending 60$ every 2 months is not the money I have lying around. Just realized, I need to sell some stuff to have enough money to build Mud Murray. Sorry, the keyboard on our family laptop is pretty bad, you need to pound the letters in, otherwise it do'nt detect them.
