[Complete] MTD Rasentrac B10 Garden and Offroad Mower [2018 Build-Off Entry}

First Mow

I were very excited, abot mowing the first Time with it, because i only did a small test mow by mowing a walkway through the garden and tha lawn were'nt high.

So i fired up the Briggs, it runs great, Engaged the Mower deck, and mowed the Damn tall Jungle of a Garden in highest Setting. Dad wants to let the Lawn grew in SPring til the seed were spread, so i side discharged everything to spread the seeds.

It did fine, except of the Belt slippage, so the blades slowed down and the mowing quality gets bad.






It made a lot of fun to mow it, except of the belt, so i needed to mow in 2nd. THis were the last use of it, cuz now i want to do the final work on it to finish the Build, to start the new Real Offroad Build.

Cool! Not often we see a build off tractor mowing. Looks great, definitely an all purpose machine

Thanks man! Cuz the MTD Frames are'nt the best, i will use it as a Road Mower for mild Trail riding and mowing. Need to buy an shorter belt for the front, maybe this will help, cuz the old one is worn and starts to blew up

Well, I would say, now i ca'nt romp with MTD anymore
The boring Jobs need to be done (Painting)
Took it apart, and now i do'nt have a running mower anymore

Yeah but it will look pretty when it is done!

What's the paint scheme going to be?

Same as before, Frame black, body red. I like those colour combination. It should look like a lawn tractor i think, cuz it still mows lawn.

My problem is I always say I am going to take it all apart once I finish building it , but never do and end up just painting what I can get to .

That's the same with me, i do'nt like it to tear it down 2 times, but it will be better. Now the problem is, the weathe is a bit too cold for painting, and i got tons of runs and wrinkles in the paint. Sucks! can do it again once it'S warmer.

Well,a bit more painting progress....

I primed the spots where i welded the holes.

Your mower is surprisingly clean, wow. Should be easy to paint.

It were dirty, but i have a pressure washer

I painted the rusty spots on the frame where i welded or where the paint were coming loose.



Next Job is to sand the frame (lucky i have few sanders)



And i found in the paint shelf 600°C heat resistant paint. Black and silver. I decided to go with black,to match the frame.



I like how it's looking! Much better than before, rusty with old fire extinguisher decals.

By painting the grill, i got runs, so i can redo it      



Here on the frame i experimented with the adjusting screws, and got no runs.









After 2nd coat, it looks decent in my eyes. Should be good enough for my mower
(An MTD Frame is'nt worth the good paint cuz it's really wobbly)

Paint is looking good! I like that paint trolley, easy to get the frame inside if it starts raining.

It's just the green trailer i use on my mowers, with a old cloth over it. So i can paint outside, then move it inside, to get no animals on my paint to destroy it.

I do'nt really wanted, to take everything apart completely and repaint it, but if I need to sell it later, it's better. ALso when I see Bad Jobs done on My Equipment, I'm getting sad, So i will do the sucking Job now, and cen be happy with it for the next Years

I threw the 1st coat on the fender and 2nd on the dashboard and stuff
