Motor is looking mint!

Looks like a really clean paint job.  It takes time to paint all of those parts individually and I don't see any ugly over spray.  I really like the diamond plate dash too.

Looking good! Having the winch behind the grille is super neat, nice and protected that way. Is the free-wheel knob easy to get to from under the hood?

I was thinking the same thing, but got to thinking. This is basically the same tractor as one of mine. He can probably reach under the grill area and snag it pretty easily without opening the hood. Nice build.

That dark gray is nice, I like it. Not so flamboyant like some other rigs you see (hey, not to dis them, i have big red tractor myself). Is the steering still stock in this rig?

Yeah the steering is still stock all I did is replace the tie rods. Got more done yesterday got the front end on and got my steering wheel mounted. Happy Thanksgiving!

Well I pretty much got her Done! I just need to get the stickers done and put on and I need to do my competition video I will be doing that on Friday and yes I know that's the dead line day but I will have it posted befor 11:59 so here's the List of mods and changes I did to it

It's a craftsman gt 6000 garden tractor frame and body.

I upgraded the transaxle to a newer high low craftsman with disc brakes my old one had the band brake and it was no good.

The motor
Next I changed out the 18hp vertical shaft kohler motor to a 9hp horizontal koop ohv diesel motor had to custom make a hub for the drive pulley because it wasn't a keyed shaft it's foot a 6in engine pulley and the rear is still the stock size. I had to modify the factory clutch for it to work for the horizontal shaft motor. I also had to wire in a electric fuel pump to pump the fuel from the rear tank I used 5/16 metal fuel line rather than rubber fuel line by the motor.

The tires
The tires are 19x7x8 atv tires for the front and the rear are 26x12x12 Kenda Executioners I repainted the wheels silver metallic.

The steering
I upgraded the steering with 3/8 heim joints and reinforce the tie rod shaft so it won't bend as easy I also put a more tighter steering box in it out of a newer high and low craftsman and roped that off with a 12in gokart steering wheel had to make a hub to adapt the steering wheel to the steering shaft.

The body.
I changed out the whole front grill and hood to the older square body craftsman and I put the older dash on and built a custom dimond plate dash plate I painted the body with a dark gray metallic and the grill is gloss black. I took the factory head lights out and put in red lights and put in tail lights it will have a 7in led light bar mounted on the front bumper should have that early this week the front bumper is 2x2 square tubeing and 1 1/2 in tubeing welded on top to hold the winch fairlead I mounted the winch on the frame behind the grill it's a 2500lb garland winch with a wireless remote.

Looking gorgeous, can't wait to see this in person! I wasn't for the grey but it looks so much better put back together nice work

LOVE the "Diesel" decal on the hood! That is definitely a super cool touch, looks pretty much factory. The whole build turned out nice for sure. Good luck in the votes!
