- Hey man that same setup is what Mr. Modified did on his famous Baja Sears. It seems like it worked okay. I would run just shocks though and no coil overs. The front pivot pin supports the weight of the tractor on the axle so you don't need to add springs to hold the tractor up. I think shocks would smooth out and stabilize the ride. I do wonder what AllisKidD21's thoughts are on this. @Buck Mault just did this to his sears too and I wonder what he thinks.
Okay good. I think that @muckmudd did it too. - biggasmowers wrote:

| Well don't I look like a big jerk now. Hahaha. Nah I was just thinking that it would be cool to see a fully suspended tractor since he has a suspension setup in the rear. Just putting coilovers on the front would look cool for sure though and it would add to the stability for sure. Sometimes I like to talk too much I guess, ahaha. Alright then, I'll get a gas shock. I don't know a thing about suspension, lol. - AllisKidD21 wrote:

I'm sorry, that wasn't my intention. The coil overs would look sweet though!

Nothing, you just robbed a supermarket. lol, JK! I was talking about your front suspension on your Husqvarna. Cause I think mine will be a pivoting suspension, should give me more high speed stability and a bit softer ride. I was wondering, do you have coil overs or gas shocks or what?

| I have the 2 rear coilovers off of a road bike, they are a little stiff for my liking and if I did it again I would use softer springs, Oh well it still travels a few inches so it's ok I guess. You definitely need traction bar type things though because the steering becomes terrible. You will see when you get there what I mean. and oh yeah, A lot of fab and welding went into this. | |

| Got my material for the fender flares tonight! Free in a ditch on the road! But I have enough to do the sides and the back on both fenders, and the bottom part of it is 1/8" steel plate. So yeah, a huge score! Don't know what I am using that for. P.S. This mud flap was sitting there for 3 weeks; nobody was coming back to get it! Lol | |

| You let a goodie sit that long? If wait about 4 hours if even lol , I have found a mini socket rachet, a flat tip pair of pliers, a screw driver, and random pieces of metal . Almost got a 5 gallon gas jug but it was gone like 20 minutes after I saw it. | |

| Haha, well I wanted to get it, but my Ma wanted me to wait. Took a great deal of convincing for her to let me get it today. But it was on an easement road anyhow, so I went around asking if someone was missing a flap and nobody even had a truck that ever had flaps on it. So I finally convinced her with the fact that whoever it was was probably trespassing, at the very least were someone's guest and were not coming back for it. Soooo...the things I would do if I could drive, Edit: now that I think about it, it probably came off a UPS truck. They wouldn't know where to start to look for it, haha! | |

| Didn't trim the fenders today, just didn't feel like using the grinder. Painted the engine shroud: Just kinda cleans it up. Dual pulley clutch is working! No the second pulley isn't on yet, lol. But here's the flimsy clutch setup on the original: Don't want to trust that. Oh btw, here's a gorgeous sunset from last night: | |

| Okay so suspension questions, especially for @AllisKidD21 and @Crazy_Carl . In the chat yesterday, they advised that I needed a sway bar and a track bar, but idk what they were at the time, haha. After some research, I totally agree I need a sway bar, lol. But I can't seem to wrap my brain around how a track bar even works, because it seems like all it would do is restrict movement on the side it is mounted to the axle, and allow even more movement on the opposite side. If you put them on both sides, it couldn't move at all. Here's the photo I found. | |

| AllisKidD21 and I use track bar and sway bar interchangeably sometimes lol. A track bar is what you need that locates the axle left and right. A sway bar keeps the chassis from rolling over too much and I don’t think you really need that here, but you might need it because the tractor might roll to the left and right too much because of your rear suspension and the front axle can pivot. Good job doing the research. The picture of what you found is exactly what you need.

| I think the sway bar is for keeping the axle from rotating forward and back under acceleration/braking and the track bar keeps the axle from having right and left movement. Not sure how the sway bar pivots but the way the track bar is mounted allows each side to go up and down . | |

Seems like it would just lock up the axle. I just don't understand, and I don't want to start on it until I do.
