You can just drill holes like carl said , but in angle instead of pipe.

If you get the john deere and sell the parts you dont use , buy a welder so you can make more stuff easy. or offer to trade your deere parts for a welder.

If you made a piece of pipe with female threads and found an automotive sway bar link with a shaft that was the same O.D. as the I.D. of the pipe threads, you could cut it in half and run a die over the shaft to make male threads. Then you could thread the halves of the sway bar into the pipe and have and adjustable tie rod with heavy duty ends! Just a suggestion, haha.

Or he could save the 60 bucks to buy a tap and die set and buy an 89 dollar welder.

Well I just assumed he already had access to a tap and die set. That's why I never mentioned anything about buying one.

Yeah I don't have one.  I always just make my own taps when ever I need them.

Taps and dies are pricey! and i live without them so far!

Here's what I do whenever I need a hole tapped.

I bought a set at Can tire for 40$ its a 48 pc set I think but I have'nt had to use a tap at home yet. But handy to have for when I need it.

Yard sales, fleamarkets, garage sales... You can find decent taps cheap. Might find a whole box of em.
I use em pretty often, they sure do come in handy.

I use them in my older tractor builds to clean the rust out of the threads. Works great.

okay yeah so I'm super indecisive.  Who wants me to put open fenders on and who want the stock fenders, trimmed down with fender flairs and a rear rack?

I liked how the stock fenders look. Or some low profile wheel wells like a suburban has would be cool.
