So the timer is done ticking! Time to build! My entry is my Craftsman Lt1000, nicknamed "NellyBelle". I plan to have it be a light utility vehicle, capable of towing, possibly plowing, off road at high speeds, capable in all conditions, etc. Build plans: -Pulley swap, capable of 30 mph -Engine modifications, capable of 6K rpm (NOTE: I just said capable, I didn't say it would be safe to turn it that fast.) -Rear skid plate (that's what the deck is for) -Seat location lowered -Battery location changed -Rear fender swap, came off a '77 Roper -Transaxle swap, Peerless 920 Oil Filled -Engine Splash guard thing (pictured) -Open diff with ITP mud lites on it -Front tires, IDK what I'm going to put on it yet -Front axle swap for a cast iron one -Gas peddle made from a clutch peddle -Side bars to keep branches off my legs -Bumper -LED light bar -original headlights Possibilities: -Rear suspension, and if that works -Front suspension -Plow -Dual pulleyed clutch
Should be an interesting build!!! Have figured out a way to make rear suspension, should be nice to have coupled with the 30 mph.
Will be filming the work and posting it on my YT channel, link in my signature. If you want to be sure not too miss it, go subscribe, and even if you don't care if you miss it, go subscribe anyway!
May the best builder win!

Precarious? What do you mean? Anyway, got her tranny, wheels & rear suspension done, not gonna show how I did the suspension until later in the build off as there are a lot of rally builds that could really benefit from it and it's super easy.
Now I need to find some reasonably priced shocks for the front....

I don't understand, why no pictures of the rear suspension? I'm curious to see how you did it.
That's exactly why. There's ten months till the end of the build off, and I did this in like 2 hours and I don't even have a welder so...anyone else can do it and then I'll lose the only unique part in this whole build. Since you haven't entered I'll go take some pics and PM you as long as you don't show them to anyone else.

I think I seen how you did it in the video. Do you think it will stand up to belt tension and torquing as well as bumps? I also see how you will keep the belt on when the trans tilts that little bit.
