Yep, the original hood.  It looks a little better with these tires, oddly enough.

It still mows.  Nellybelle is a different story.  For now, they are on Sodzilla because Belle doesn't run.

Mandrels are MUCH cheaper online.  Just purchased a set of 3 for a John Deere for less than 80$ for my father in law this past spring.

Yeah, I'm finding that out, haha.  I figgered that if I could have them sooner I'd pay a little more, but not 4x what it should be! LOL

i liked the cammo hood better. but i think stock is boring. also makes me miss dinky's old rear fenders. if i cold go back in time i wold of left them stock... but forward is the only way to go, dully dinky it is.

I actually think the stock hood looks better. Front tyres looks really good.

I'm also swapping the engine pulley from stock to a 6".  Should be plenty fast!

With some advice from Matt and Sebastian and Rich and Allis, I somehow managed to get this super seized bolt out lol.

Vise grips, clutch out in gear, on the compression stroke, ratchet strap, and redneck "breaker bar".  LOL, I need an impact gun.

I just started using an impact gun to get those bolts off. That flag looks like its gonna get caught through the brush lol.

Well, as I stated above, I don't got an impact gun.  The flag is on there for looks for the summer picture contest.

Matt posted a link to a pretty decent looking impact gun from Ebay in the chat yesterday for a pretty good price. Can't remember what the price was, but it was fairly cheap.

This is it if anyone wants to take a look. Seems pretty reasonable, but won't be as durable as some of the more expensive ones. Is that a double pulley clutch or just a single pulley clutch and an idler?

I like the new hood a lot.  I wasn't really diggin' the stock weedeater hood.  How are you going to mow with a pulley swap?

Gonna have to look into that. Single pulley clutch and an idler, the stock setup.

I only mow like once every 6 months so I'll just change the engine pulley and belt for when that happens.

Ended up not pulley swapping the front (didn't have a belt that fit).

Turns out it already goes pretty fast just with the stock front pulley and a 5" rear pulley, along with the engine turning a quite a bit faster than it probably should.  I always told people it went about 8-10 MPH, was way off.  Super excited to find that it goes 16.

IM SO JELLY, i want somthing that can mensure speed so bad, i really need to see if there are cheep GPS's on ebay.
