The plan is to take another tractor, chop it up and bolt it to the back, extending it out a bunch, and putting a tranny under the other tractors rear end. If I can come up with the necessary parts and money, I will make it a 4x6.
Although, I'd need another Peerless 920, and they're scarce as hen's teeth.

I actually had plans to make Mutt a 6x6 way back when, if I found another matching 820. Obviously that never happened haha. But the build would've then included some hydraulics, makes me kinda wonder what could've been lol.
Yes, I have seen that before, really neat! The issue is it's a live axle in the rear, I was planning on leaving it open because I plan to have a ton of weight. I'm gonna price everything for a live axle like that, though, cause it would be easier than finding another 920.
If I can find another 920 for a decent price I'll do what this guy did.

I’ve always thought an mtd with the FNR trans would be easy to run a dual rear axle with. Just weld another pulley on top of the first transaxles pulley and then belt the two transaxles together. Simple shift linkage too since it doesn’t have to move as far. And those MTD axles are so common

Hm...IDK, I've never seen them. What would be neat is to put a tranny in the stock location but sideways and have a locked diff with a drive shaft running to the FNR on the back, like Maine Mud Mower did. If I can find an FNR and a drive shaft, I might do that. But I can find 2 FNRs, your right that would be easier. We'll have to see....

You can make a solid axle setup work like a differential. Just cut the solid axle in half. Install two pillow block bearings on each axle half and run a chain from each individual axle side to the respective side of the transaxle which you should keep unlocked. The left side drive tires will be driven together, the right side drive tires will be driven together, but the left and right sides won't be locked together so you'll have good handling with weight in the bed.
I have like the idea of just stretching a tractor with one transaxle like you showed above.

Yeah. I am trying to keep the money down, though. What I showed above would be cheapest, but the issue is shifter linkage. Probably could come up with something.

HAHA, Oh I'm in this year's with a couple "off-roaders", but I have already started my plans for 2019. I think I may give a "pickup" tractor a try next time. If you all come up with some good stuff, I may have to "borrow" ideas, but I think I already have the whole thing how "I would want one", figured out.

Is that what you're going to build? The rules say up to 2 passengers though...
Otherwise...not a bad idea.

How would a two wheeled mower with a cheeter bar with a wheel on it qualify for the build off rules ? It would technically have three contact points so.....
