Good question, the answer is maybe. However he wont hear the end of it if he flukes. I remember quite clearly the term "Hell or high water" being used in his wording lol.

Interested to see where this pickup idea goes. I am about 50% sold in maybe converting my Craftsman GT Hot-rod back to a UTV as one of these. I can already see it in my head.

Tell me what you think of that idea.

I Think the idea is good, that thing is all function, it looks like a scrap pile.  My build is going to be very similar idea as yours then, but I plan on making it look as factory as possible, whatever that means.

Yeah, was real excited for it. But I'd have to buy a welder to fix the frame, and by the time I did that, I wouldn't have the money to buy good tires and stuff. Sad Maybe next year.

Your going to want a welder double w, even if you borrow one or find someone to do small welds for you it makes life so much easier.

On another note i was looking around my parts and i decided to give the snapp dragin some front axle suspension for the build off.

I know...I'm probably gonna borrow/buy/get one from a neighbor before I spend all the money on one. I know she'll let me borrow it, she's the woman who let's me ride all over her land. She'd lend you literally anything. (When we first moved there, we needed a truck to haul some sheep and she lent us her 1/2 year old $60k F-250, only knowing us for a week.) They haven't used it in 10 years, and it was only used by her son who moved away.
BTW, if I borrow it, do welders break often? Don't want to accidentally break it.

What kind of welder is it? if its a stick it will last longer us probably ,(flux core is cheapest cause you dont need gas) mig wire feed can wear out drive rollers, and you can pinch the mig gun wire tube that the wire runs through but thats only if you really try to, and contact tips wear out but there like 8 bucks for 15 tips.. Mig is way easier to use first time but with some youtube instruction videos stick can be just as easy and its a lot cheaper to buy rod then wire but wire works better for body/thin gauge metal welding up to 1/8 inch. But each welding process takes practice and patience to learn, i mean i have just picked up stick after about a month but still i have to re weld most of my right angle welds , but stick is way more fun then flux mig

Not exactly, I saw it from like 30 feet away and didn't pay too much attention. It seemed like 5-6 inches thick and a foot or so tall. Never saw a welder that looked quite like it.

Does it have a dial on the front? If so it'll be an old ARC welder.

All I've ever used is an old Licoln 225 tombstone Arc welder, it's a great machine. Arc welders are great for old rusty steel and what not, and they can lay down some hot welds on some heavy stuff.

I could always just do this: Twisted Evil

But that's good. Don't think I need a welder. There's only one thing that I could see myself needing one for, and I want it done professionally, and not by a redneck who has no clue what he's doing.

I got an inverter stick welder, weights 4 lbs lol, only 80 amps sadly but it does the job quite well, and i dont have a 240 outlet in the garage, just 120 . If i had a 240 i would already have a 200 amp Lincoln buzz box cause a guy offered his for like 100 bucks but i couldn't use it .

Battery welding is stupid dangerous. They arent meant to be discharged like that. A cheap 90 amp will be safer than that.
