| I agree with CQ. Looks to be quite a bit of weight hanging off the exhaust bolts. Looking good though! | |

| I wonder if that strap going through the foot-board is the mount for the exhaust? Just at the end of the rubber mat part and the bend. Only think I can think of, is when you change your oil, it might make a bit of a mess with the pipe under the drain. PS, you can use that deck lift as a hand brake! | |

| I used the deck lift on my murray to control the breaks, and i can lock the tires up completely going about 25 mph from the torque i can put on the breaks now. | |

| Will definitely add the support. Have plenty of scrap metal where I work. Thanks for the suggestions so far have definitely been trying to incorporate them into this build. Now how would the 2 rear pods work for brake lights? Just wire then up like I would my headlights and flip a switch for when they're needed or have them light up when I mashed the pedal? | |

| it would be easier to control a switch for on /off then wiring up a brake wiring system, and for off roading its nice to have light all around if your going to be driving a lot at night so the brighter the better in my opinion . | |

If you wanted true brake lights, I have used the clutch/brake safety switch to wire up brake lights a few times. | |

| Would it be good for the L.E.D light pods to be switched on and off ? they are designed to warm up and be kept on i thought. Break lights are designed for that start stop action. | |

| I have LED brake lights for a Harley on my sasquatch tractor. You are talking about your pods, I agree with your assessment to "switch" them. | |

| Thanks guys! Just to keep things simple I think I'll go with the switch route alot less to fool with. Now what pulley ratios are yall running on your rigs. I don't need to run 20 mph but faster than stock speed would be nice

| I think a 1:1 would be a good start, Maybe a 5 and 5 or 6 and 6 pulley. That would get you up around the 20 mark, but still have some good power in your low gears. I'll let the other guys chime in, get a bit less slippage on the 6's, but can you get one that size up under the motor without a lot of work? That's up to you. | |

| i have a 6 to 6 inch ratio on my murray with 22 inch tires, might hit about 24 mph but it is ungoverned so that speeds it up quite a if your going 1:1 ratio try to get bigger pulley diameters so you woulnt need a big clutch spring but will have less slippage without stretching your belts super tight.( my craftsman is getting 10inch pulleys for maximum belt contact since i am planning very aggressive tires when i get a 820 peerless | |

| I run 4.75 front that's for a 5/8 belt, and a 4 inch rear for a half inch belt, and run a half inch belt. The deeper groove in the front just keeps it from jumping out easily. Runs about 15 MPH governed, high 20's, maybe low 30's with the governor overridden | |

| Thanks guys, I think I'll go with 6 to 6 I still use the mower for pulling around the yard and still want good low end power | |

| Sucks about your transaxle. Did it split the case or something? Some damage pictures would be cool, haha.
