| so im building a good snow clearing tractor out of my White LGT1655 garden tractor. driveline: 16hp briggs oppy beefy hydro trans i will be putting chains on the rears tire, and building a rear weight box to put a couple hundred pounds of gravel to help with traction. i might setup a salt sprayer to put on the rear too. using a 120v ac linear actuator rated for 350lbs, (it actually lifts that) ill be using a small homemade inverter to power it from the 12v battery. i will be getting better pics tommorow. | |

| Cool! I've often thought about making a salt and sand spreader for my Case, make it friction drive off of the rear wheel or something like that. | I got a craftsman one. It's got weights on the plow too for helping to keep the plow on the ground when pushing the snow along with weights on the back. I usually keep it outside in the winter and parked next to the house near an outlet. The starter is a 110v that I put on it and to start it I plug in an extension cord to it. Never have to worry about the battery being dead. | |

| Buddy I'm sorry to say this but "brushed on paint" and "look better" don't go in the same sentence Jk lol, it looks alright. If i were still in New York I'd definitely have the snow plow on mutt. I actually used the snow plow mounts to mount the skidplate. Never figured out a lift mechanism for it though. | |

Yeah but i was going for a nice strong finish.. Its hard to get that woth spraypaint.. And it more expensive. And takes more time.. So yeah. Good enought for a plow that will get all scratched up anyways.. I never have not worked on it since october but now we are starting to get some snow.. So i have to get it up and working good soon... | |

| I actually painted the chassis black on the MTD with a brush. Like sadeoo I kinda wanted something a bit more durable. It took forever to fully cure but I dont think it turned out too bad. | Interesting setup with the linear actuator. However, I don't see any way for the blade to "float" across uneven terrain, but maybe that just isn't a concern with your driveway. | |
