got a little more done on the wheel horse

sand blasted the engine pulley, and still have to weld the hub onto it, new tierods with hiems, the start of my aluminum fuel tank, and some more shiny pieces with the shiftedr plate

Got some more done on the wheel horse, I couldn't keep the paint a secret anymore she just looks too good, it still needs graphics but it's all good for now!

I also was planning on running 27s on the rear(you can see them behind the wheel horse) but I'm kinda sold on the vampires, plus I bought them for another project of mine and I'd have to pull them back off once I started building that one.

The tank is and almost fully mounted!

I need drive belt situation, wiring, exhaust, seat pan mounted, rear bumper, and a few other little things and she'll be ready for her first romp!

Looks pretty beastly redzz! I'm diggin' it. Seems like you build pretty fast too, hahaha.

I had a little bit of a screw up on the build but I'm quite pleased with the way it turned out, I spend a hand Gil of days after work to fab up my gas tank and got it mounted, and last night I realized it's right in the way of where I originally planned to run my exhaust. BLAHHHH so I tossed up the idea of ditching the tank and using another mower tank in another location. But I intimately decided to route the exhaust around the front of the engine and out the other side. I am actually a lot happier with this set up and loving the look

Wow man! I'm the fellow owner of a C-81 that I'm building into a mud mower this winter. I do have a project thread on it.

What I absolutely love:

-chrome dash, footrest, and shifter covers
-upgraded front tie rods
-the way those vampires look on the front
-the led light bar mounted where the factory lights would go
-the powerplant you're going with

That's going to be a sick rig when you're done keep up the good work.

got the exhaust buttoned up complete with cut out, minus the tip, and got her fired up for a minute just to make sure the motor actually runs.... its alot quieter than i anticipated with the cut out, but ive never ran pipes this long on a twin also

Very interesting set up with the exhaust! Like the rear bumper as well.

Does the bypass pipe on the muffler have a butterfly in it?

Thanks alliskid, and prancsta yes sir there is a baffle in the bypass tube. Shooting for a loud and quiet mode I'm still young but the loud exhausts are starting to annoy me..... fackler I'm getting old

Big big update and onto the home stretch only 16 more days and the build off ends, I'm hoping to win you guys over with the custom work I'm putting into this one (not all has been revealed just yet)

We got the wiring all buttoned up and looking pretty clean, rear bumper is painted and mounted, the battery box has been made, cut in, and a fresh battery dropped in. Throttle and choke cable. Light switch and the fuel selinoid switch have been installed.

We need to finish the belt gaurd, paint the shift knobs, tierods, plumb the fuel tank, mount the seat, paint the rear rims, re seal all the tires(they all have bead leaks) and a hand full of custom pieces and tweaks and she is done!

Keep up the good work! Are you thinking about making a custom cover to cover up what’s left of the engines crankshaft?

Well.... my answer would be I'm not into the whole cali lean thing so I did the only thing anyone else would do with 2 weeks left in a competition.... I unbolted the rear axle and started on a 4 inch lift for the rear

Think that shifter is heavy enough? Hahaha! Looks good, I wonder what you're hiding in that engine bay....

Sweet Lift! I like that way more than a body lift. Are those off-the-shelf aftermarket wheel spacers you're using?
