| My rat rod Toro used to have one of those pressure clutches on it. The friction lining was too worn for it to work though so I had to weld it up solid and build a double pulley clutch for it. I'd much rather have one of those though because you could have a lot of belt tension and not have to worry about the belt grabbing when you press the clutch in. I'm not sure how easy it would be to get parts for one. I'm not sure how easy it would be to get parts for one. As for a new pad there are no parts but i can buy 3.55mm sheet of pad and cut my own clutch pad from it. luckily my clutch is still super good and it grabs like a mofo. | |

| True. But that's pretty easy to prevent Doug, just put a sticker near the transaxle that says "No Dirt Allowed!" and it shouldn't be a problem. yeah i would love to have a clutch set up like that on lets say a 633 lol. half of me says just use it as a mower and the other half of me says lift it and romp it. | |

| Or RAT ROD IT! Haha, just kidding. These things have like a C-channel frame most of the way back and a fairly heavy duty (And unusual) steering setup. So I'd imagine it would make a pretty good off-roader. The part of the frame that houses the transaxle is kinda flexy though when ya go over bumps, so a crossmember or two would help a bit. Also mine has had a Peerless 600 swapped in place of original 5-speed, so that adds to the heavy-duty...ness. | yes the steering is one of a kind with its drill bit style threaded sleeve lol. its funky but well built. 25s and 18s would be nice lol but on the other hand its a really nice mower. | |
