| I bought this sears for $120, didnt know what i wanted to do with it but it ran, drove, and cut. Few months later i decided to put a go kart axle under it because its stock with a Peerless 700. Got a 26 inch 1in OD axle Pillow block bearings 45 tooth sprocket 4 lug hubs "Thank you gopowersports" Upgraded to 22x10-10 offbrand v treads Did a pulley swap to 4 to 4 inch Then after i got all that done, i was doing its first major test run and messing with it in the yard. It was going decent besides the clutch did not work all the way, and a little bit of chain slag. Then the motor just quit, i tried a few common things and it just wouldn't fire. So my dad an I took it to our friends small engine repair. He called me and said by time i get here it will be put back together. I was just about to leave and he called me again and told me that he broke the crank bolt. He told me i had two options spend money and get a brand new motor. Or he'll give me a GT6000 for free and i dont have a shop bill, of course i got the GT6000. So where i am right now with the build is swapping the motor from the GT6000 to the sears. | |

I like that "Do not modify vehicle" Thats funny. I plan to keep the same colors just repaint to get rid of rust and make her look good. I also plan to get some 01 and general lee stickers for it. Lol i realized it said that in the middle of mounting the new axle.

Nope, worker terribly and was scary to drive, but before i drive it again it will be fixed, or a double pulley clutch will be built.

| Oh hahaha. Yeah I thought the single pulley clutch I made for my MTD would work pretty good, but it didnt haha. I ended up making a double pulley clutch instead. Thanks bud! Theres currently no motor in the GT. I don't have an extra to replace it. I might just take the body and trans out of it and use for something else rather than getting a new motor. | |

| Slowly but surely im getting it done. I need to finish exhaust but my welder is down so for the time being i might get some screw in mufflers. Also need to mount my clutch and get a belt. Mount my chain tensioner Then the easy stuff, re do fuel lines, clean up wiring, and put oil back in it. | |

| Been forever since i updated this thread so bad news, its sitting in the weeds with no engine or axle. Good news is i still have the axle on the bench, i have a 5 speed 700 to swap in for an extra gear, i got a free sabre with a 14.5 OHV so if the OHV clears the hood, the ole sears will come back out. Future plans are full suspension but i have have the money or motivation for that task quite yet lol. | |
