These are some of the engines I plan to use in future builds, the Orange Kirby runs fantastic the other villiers need some TLC, I have been looking at them each time I walk in my shed wondering what to do with the, but since I have joined this forum I now have an answer, in fact I can see them in my head on builds having a great time. My sons call me a Mowerholic... but it’s somethi I really enjoy doing, It’s therapy for me and the satisfaction of doing at home with stuff that was once no longer wanted. It’s like giving it all a second chance to live again.

Looks really good man! Got any onfo on that engine with the J.A.P stamped into it? Never seen one like that here in the US!

I had a brake pedal but because I have cable disc brake I had to stomp on it hard, so I put a brake handle instead and that works fantastically! Test drove it again and all sorted out next to detail it and finish off a couple of odds and ends looks like I’m going to make it on time, I was a little worried but it’s looking good

It's looking great with the paint on! I like the hood scoop as well, pretty subtle but it looks just right. I always prefer brake handles for a manual brake setup, get more leverage that way.

Don't diss the seat. It's pretty cool.

Today when I was driving the Speedster, I noticed that where the driven clutch is located the engine air cooling blows hot air on to the clutch, I notice because I had shorts on and my leg began to cook. So my thought is that the hot air blasting on to the clutch is another issue to solve, it may be causing the driven to get to hot upsetting the spring tension.

I thought more about it and the gopower clutch set up with the plate would also be insulting the clutch from the heat. So this coming weekend I will make a heat shield to keep that area cooler.

Lots to do but I have learned a lot over the build, the good thing is the next build I will be able to take inconsideration all the things I discovered and be able to do a build a lot quicker.

The more you practice the better you get!

The Speedster is a proto type build and has shown me it’s not easy and always expect the unexpected, from pen on paper too when you start building is very different.

Yes it’s just the base colour, I have a surprise for the finish!

I have finish my project build, but out of the blue suddenly I was struck down with a fairly serious illness, been in hospital for almost a week and only just got home, just need to do video demo and take the speedster for a drive. still a few days need to rest up or Doctor will put me back in hospital again. The Pin stripe work is traditional old school hot rod style.

I love the details you put into this thing especially the pin striping but I'm not feelin' the seat. Please tell me that you at least you didn't pay for the fabric.

Hahahaha, Its off my late Nanas arm chair, Its a personal thing, In a while I will buy a new John Deer seat the nice yellow one. thanks anyhow, cheers.

These last few days Im just making the Speedster pretty, I made a heat shield to keep the driven clutch cooler also did a tidy up on the front, video of it driving very soon. then its all done for this years first ever build of my modified lawn tractor, been great fun.
