You got one of those 4k gopro clones too? I love mine, that's what I used on those POV vids on my channel! I'm gonna try doing more regular vids with it, I haven't tried it for indoors yet for normal videos because of the kinda fisheye it has.

Yeah, I have had mine a few months now.  I'm still getting use to it.  Mine has a fish eye correction setting.  Seemed to work out pretty well.

Thank you! I got them for the actual style of wheel that I have on the tractor. One side was a beast to snap on.

I was messing around, trying to video with actual "smoke" in the picture and got some decent smoke for a Garden Tractor!

Here is a snipit...


A few seconds later I was messing around. I was riding a wheelie on the wheelie bars and this happened....





Had to bust out the old Suburban and haul it back to the garage.  



Now I know the "True" meaning of wreck, wrench and repeat....



Clean break, It can be fixed. Luckally nothing else got broke!

I should have kept both hands on the wheel. Also, I am on the wheelie bar wheels at that point. If they were not there, I would have flipped on over.

Post wreck diagnosis.

1 Broke Spindle (just needs cleaned and welded back on.
1 Broken cotter pin on the other side, I have half a dozen of those.
1 Broken steering joint.
2 tiny dents in the moon cap.

I didn't check the u-bolt threads. I just figure there is scuffing there.

That's all.  Could have been a lot worse.  Glad I took extra measures to do some things right the first time.  I could have planted the nose and rolled.

Man that makes 2 of us.  The old Squatch had more power than expected.  Then again, I had already warmed up the tires burning them so I had awesome bite.

Yeah, looked like a lot of power there...your front end was crazy high.
Wheelie bar definitely passed the test though.

I will admit I don't have a great track record with wheelies. Ended up flipping off the back of the tractor and landing on my ass. My tractor took off but luckily ran into a tree 10 m after I fell off. Not a good feeling....

Well you gotta put 'er through 'er paces some how mighty, hahaha. Glad it's nothing too serious though!

Ouch, nothing hurts more than falling on your tailbone.  I'm glad I had wheelie bars planned in my build.  I will tell you, I was not ready for the bite and lift the tractor got when I popped the clutch.

You're right. I'm also glad it was not worse. I'm also glad it took me to the ditch. It's funny how you get use to something and just take it for granted that it will perform as it had. Then one moment of OH CRUD! and bam!

Quite a wreck there mighty! Lucky the paint(and you) are still ok! At least you didnt peel your trans open when you popped the clutch lol. Might try turning up the amperage on the welder next time? Lol. It's cool to see the wheelie bars put to use!

Yeah, I think if it was the original tractor axle I would have bent that too. I came down all sorts of wrong on the front. Just after that pic, my left foot also slipped off the foot rest and I turned her sharp left. The weld looking over it, you are right. I did not get full penetration on that side. I checked over the Right side and it still looks like the day I welded it. I'll clean it back up with the grinder and melt it back on. I think I have gotten a tiny bit better with the welding. I was expecting to only pop up about a foot or close to it. I didn't expect all the way up to bounce off the wheelie bar slamming it back down. LOL

wow, she gets the wheels up, nice effort indeed, now fix it and go again, lol, thanks for the entertainment in the meantime though, much appreciated.

WOW, Glad you're OK. Live and learn I guess. Took me a couple tries on mine to just get use to the wheelie bars being their, well bumper on mine. Every time I did a wheelie on mine it would make a huge divot in the grass, LOL.

I did live and I did learn something. So it was a good day after all.

Slow night tonight in the forums!

Got the Axle off and cleaned up, re-welded and painted. Right now I am waiting for paint to dry!
