Nice, smokey, shop! One of the guys as work got one of those type electric smokers. He loves it! One of the things he enjoyed was sitting on the couch with a cold one and check his phone to check the smoker. Nice. What kind of dogs you got? I have 5, LOL.

HAHA! Nice! I have 2 Lassa's, Australian/jack russell(pain in the a$$), black lab all from previous marriage, and a American Pitt Terrier pup inside. We love dogs!

I'm with you tater195, I typically get a project done in about 3-4 weeks.  I'm going so slow with this one that I am trying to work out the little things as it goes.  Also saves on burnout since there is some competition about it.

nice workshop.

Put the last coat of paint on the smoker this morning. Did a test run last weekend and it works good. I am ready to get back on this project. I have a full week of vacation the week after next, so it wont take long to get caught back up. I have 3 lt flippers to get cleaned up and posted on CL the next week.

Sweet, can't wait to see some more progress on the dragster!

When I fall off the tracks, I get WAY off. The smoker is mostly done. Basement flooded last week so I have been dealing with that. The grass is goin nuts now so I moved up the flipper LT. Parts come in for it friday. It will be a quick 4 hour job. That should put me back on the hot rod by saturday.

c'mon man... this is one I wanna see DONE.... awesome concept

I have been slacking on this project for almost a month. I try to do at least 1 thing a day to keep it moving. Today I tacked down the tunnel angle, drilled out the motor mount holes, mounted the steering sector and finished a few more frame welds... that was after I mowed 5 acres, made a raised garden for the wife, worked on the boat, tried to fish for a few hours, cleaned the shop, replaced the busted belt on one of the mowers and fixed a flat on my sons car. Vacation my ass. Yesterday my wife scheduled a "massage" because my lower back was bothering me. I feel like I fell out of the back of a truck again. Now I know what it feels like to have your ass kicked by a short fat chick and had to pay her to do it. WTF?

Sounds almost like one of my days, LOL. Except the massage part. My wife just walks on my back.

So.. have you gotten far enough to see what that exhaust sounds like in your mocked up pipes yet?

my back is more fecked up than a soup sammich. Working on the steering right now. I need to get everything to fit around that. Wiring is way down on the list. I still dont have the battery location pinned down yet

Man o man,  I know what it is like to be down in the back.  I had several times that I could not even stand and it hurt too bad to lay down. I found that the leather belt that I was wearing was pinching my nerve in my lower back.  I quit wearing that belt and went to a stretchy one and I haven't been down again.  I've been sore a few times, but not debilitating.  I hope your back gets better quick.

I have been having lower back pain and pain down my right leg for 6 months. It was tolerable until my wife talked me into getting a massage. Now upper back and neck are screwed up.
