| So my Sears started life as a work tractor for my neighbor when my neighbor passed away it was givin to me and got used on our farm for a few years until one day it died plowing a garden and sat outside for about 4 years. One day I got the springy idea to go pull it out and start it up knowing that it had carb/fuel pump issues given it was the 18hp onan. It started and ran okay and I drove it around a ton. One day I got fed up with the carb and onan itself and how you can't find parts for it so I swapped it for a Kohler ch12.5 that runs great and that's about where I am know on this build. | |

| So today I ordered a 6.5 inch engine pulley and I'm going to try to remove the transaxle pulley for a 3 inch pulley which I know is not a very desirable ratio but I already have the one pulley so I can go with a 1-1 ratio one day. I also need to spend some time on the clutch because the pivot point is so floppy and wearing out my belt bad | |

| So today I got my pulley on the input shaft of the Kohler 12.5 and measured for the belt (waiting for someone to take me to tsc for a belt) so I started on remaking my exhaust into something I actually want to look at. I didn't not take any pics yet though. I also bought two quarts of gear oil to run through it but the napa brand synthetic 85 weight. Also bought new motor oil and found a new d ring for the rear hitch plate also plan on working on the front bumper soon | |

| I believe the input shaft on your transaxle is tapered, won't be able to pulley swap it with average pulleys. However, if you have a stamped rear pulley you can drill out the spot welds in the original pulley and weld a new one to the tapered hub. And good tire choice, Executioners are my favorite | |

| Yeah I reliazed that a little while ago that it was tapered which kinda stinks but I have other machines to go fast on just wanted to ge a little faster on it with the engine pulley I figured if I wanted to change out the pulleys I was gonna have to torch out the center and weld in a new outer pulley. | |

| I'll have to check when I get home but if I guessed it's stamped steel I'm not going to touch it if it's cast because I k ow the challenges of welding cast iron. | |

| Looks good! I think a set of 18x6.50-8 Carlisle Snow hogs would look good on the front, and from what I've heard they perform really well | |

Fixed it, the code was posted 3 times. Looks good. Is that a deck roller under the front axle? Head Forum Administrator ** Chat Moderator ** Facebook Page AdminATLTF Facebook Page ** Chatbox ** How To Upload Pictures

| Thanks for the compliments guys yes that is a lawn roller the plan was that it would act as a roller as on some jeep front bumpers but it didn't reall do anything. And yes I've looked into new front tires I upgraded to a set of 18 inch tires off of a stx38 that my friend built but another friend just put a set of 19s on the front of his I'll find a pic of them that I tried on the Sears it's just that I had the 18s and they made the Sears look level so I was happy. | |

| So this afternoon/evening after I got home from getting a hair cut I embarked on the Sears new exhaust system. Basically it comes down from the exhaust port runs at a angle down to the floor board where it will dump out with a muffler and quite possibly a tip for exhaust tone. Also mounted two go pro mounts one on the fender one on the. Ottom of the grill upfront. So I can start a you tube channel soon with ride videos. | |

| Yeah what's cool is that he bought a set of swamp witch 26s for the rear and the tread pattern is almost the same. Also to clarify hat is not my cub in the back ground with the crooked light bar that was the work of a friend and I made him take it off later that day | |

| Also you can see in that last pic that my hood is broken or well I guess my grill is broken the circle holes that it pivots off of our broken so any ideas or help would be a huge help as of right now it's held on with two industrial zip ties and looks ghetto and I hate it | |

| You could make some new mounts out of steel and bolt them to the grill. Seems like that's a very common problem with those Sears | |

| Didn't fearless front have to fix his diesel sears hood up with a hinge or something? I never looked at that style sears hood up close so I don't know what the best thing would be. Looks good with those tires though. That square tube bumper looks like it would be a good base for some more tubing... | |
