| LED bulbs aren't the best. I put 'em in mine at one time and the original ones were brighter. So if you want LEDs, I'd just get some off road lights. | |

| Hmm... I put them on one of my other builds and they looked great and brighter? Matter of fact I was actually going to steel those and put in my old bulbs on that build. I think I got 35 watt ones before. I have seen there are lower wattage ones. | |

| I am having some post Apocalypse (Haspin) plans for Red.... I wonder how this body.... would fit on this frame... I'm not talking about scrapping Li'l Red, just a new backbone.... and maybe some new upgrades... That 2300 would be put in reserve for Kal. Time for Li'L Red to grow up. | |

| If you were to do that there wouldn't be much widebody left. But If you want to put the time and effort into it then go ahead. The less frame flex the better it is! | |

| Finally getting the oil changed so it will be Haspin ready. There was a little bit of gas in the oil this time. I kind of feared that when I forgot to turn off the gas during one of my winter rides. | |

| I ended up deciding not to run the trails at Haspin with Li'l Red. I just do not think it would be up for the task. Steering and front axle would not be up for anything beyond the main trail.
Future Plans: I will be returning the MST back into Red. and Pulling the winch off. The 820 will be donated to my next build which will be Haspin oriented. I've been calling my new idea Li'l Red 2.0, but I do plan on keeping Red, but handing it down to the daughter, but with a larger transaxle pulley. LOL I can see Red possibly returning to Haspin. Next time, I may have my family with, as my youngest Daughter likes to ride tractors too. I could take her out for a few laps around the main loop and maybe the motocross track.
My next build, I am contemplating either entering it in the 2020 Build-Off, or just building it outside the contest. Not sure at this time.

I am really considering that. I could start now and string any $$ needed out further. I'll probably miss the 2020 haspin due to some other family stuff that will be occuring in the Haspin timeframe, but I am already planning a return in 2021. That would give a good year and a half to build. Something I realized watching @redzz02 and I think it was @stretch44875 was the use of a hand throttle. It just seemed effortless. I don't know.

| I agree. The time limit (and budget and other crap) on the MM is a pain. That's why I'll probably be building the MM20 just because. I've had WAYYYYYYYY more fun on that build than the MM.
And the hand throttle is definitely effortless. Although there is a guy on YT called "TheAlexManVideos" I think and he made a foot throttle that works with the hand throttle. Might wanna look into that.

| I remember seeing a hand throttle on creepcrawler's wheel horse. Or maybe it was offroadohio(or whatever he changed his name to). Doesn't seem like a bad idea. Throttle pedals are prone to causing bouncing(like when you hit a bump and your foot hits the throttle and then it causes an endless cycle). Plus foot throttles are more prone to getting grabbed by tree branches or whatever or whoever you're running over, although I've not had that happen more than once and it just stopped me from pushing it down, happens more on the clutch side.
The reason I've not gone to a hand throttle is because i can't steer, shift, and throttle at the same time with two hands.

| So after a lot of thinking....
I didn't think it would stand up to Haspin, so why would I think it would stand up to any other offroad?
I do drive it around a lot here at home around the block and such. Why not reclassify it as a speed build and put street tires on it? No sense continuing to wear down the ATV tires on it so fast.
hmm.. | |

| #Lil-RedOK, starting a new thread for Li'l Red. I have decided not to take on any other projects at this time other than finishing up Patriot and now Li'l Red 2.0 Original topic: Li'l Red 1.0The following is a list of improvements etc. to make it more sturdy and hopefully Haspin Ready for 2021. I don't expect it to take that long, but I will be headed the other direction in the country in 2020. MUST HAVES! - Front Suspension (yes @AlliskidD21, I said it. I will probably take some queues from one of your rigs )
- Some kind of Dash tower bracing, I don't want to bust another gas tank.
- I HAVE to get rid of that gas pipe exhaust. Sounds nice though... LOL
Like to haves... - New tire package? At least change out the rear tires. They suck.
- New front bumper of sorts to go with new front end.
- Rear bumper? (Not a requirement at this time.
- Separate brakes from clutch.
- Matching hubs around the rig. For easier tire swapping.
- Stronger bearings for the front hubs. (Don't need Kal's issue from Haspin)
- Battery box is broken. Maybe a new setup or replace the one I have.
Other things that will be done during refresh... - Frame bracing, redo
- Fresh paint, more than just plain Red!
- TBD....
Right now Patriot has priority, but I will be tackling this a little along the way.

| So.... I think it is time to put Li'l Red 1.0 to bed. In the beginning, got the Little Murray for $30. Original locked MST End of Li'l Red 1.0 Locked 820 Upgrade Li'l Red 1.5, where it sits as of this post minus the new winch. So... I'm calling this chapter complete and is time to go forward. I have some new plans for Red 2.0 and it does continue the build of THIS tractor and not another. Please see the following thread for updates and to continue posting!

| Or dragging you up the hill first night out. LOL Other things I can think of:
- Also need to look into the oil drain leak. It's getting pretty bad.
- Also some new headlights
- Maybe some floodlights like Kal. That came in handy during the night ride.
- Better fitment of the hood. Use the hood's original dash for a template.
- Maybe some endo and exo skeleton upgrades...tbd later
- A new gas pedal maybe too.
