| This is what I've been working on. Got a lot of useful info from browsing these forums and watching videos on YouTube from forum members. | |

| I just used a natural sponge from the paint section at Lowes. Sprayed a heavy layer of paint onto a piece of cardboard and dipped the sponge into it, then applied it to the tractor randomly. I know it doesn't look like it in the pictures, but it's actually a light green. | |

| Thanks Jon. You've a good eye. That's the molkt (?) carb. It has a 31 ci B&S engine. I've done the bicycle brake lever gas pedal mod. The T-handle shifter / hand brake. (thanks for those ideas Fearless) It has a locked transaxle, peerless mst-506 I believe. 2500 pound rear mounted harbor freight winch. I swapped on some 22x11x8 atv tires for the rear. The fronts were new when I got it, hate to toss those out just yet. I have a marine deep cycle battery mounted on the floor between the seat and dash and an Army assault pack mounted to the rear of the seat for storing tools and such. 3.5 inch transaxle pulley and 4.5 inch engine pulley. Not sure where it tops out at, but I can tell you the speed far exceeds the steerings capability to control it and the brakes capability to stop it. Good news is that where I'll be using this there won't be any top speed runs. Just putting along on the logging trails and pulling deer out of the woods. Those two items are still 100% on the "needs upgraded asap" list, though. Next to sort out is a rifle mount and some lighting.
Seriously a lot of this project is based on Fearless Front's Murray. Imitation is the highest form of flattery after all.
I'll try and post some more pics later. I noticed that the mobile ones show up sideways for some reason, so I'll try and do it from my desktop.

| Nice mower, love the paint job! How many horsepower is the 31 ci briggs? And I think you mean mst-206 | |

| Thanks Matthew. You're right, MST-206 sounds like it. It's definitely the six speed. I think I combined 205 and 206 in my head. I believe the 31ci Briggs is rated at 17.5 hp. | |

| I thought the same thing when I looked at your build! These are actually Wanda tires. Never heard of them before but they were $88 a pair, so I figured why not? But they do look identical to yours, right down to the stripes.

| I think HI-RUN is a knockoff brand. I paid 90 for the pair and that includes mounting at 5 apiece | |

You got a better deal than I did for what appears to be the same tire. Mine were $88 for the pair, plus shipping, and I had to mount them myself. Guess it pays to shop around a little.

| They were the cheapest I found, they were on Walmart.com and I had them shipped to the store. Got there in 2 days and got them mounted in their automotive bays/tire shop. | |

| Haha tyres seem to be much more expensive here, I've though sometimes of going in to my local tyre shop and asking for any second hand tyres that fit a 8" rim. | |

I noticed that the mobile ones show up sideways for some reason, so I'll try and do it from my desktop. i know the carb well, I've a pair on a Vanny v twin I'm tinkering with here, and also on my little b tractor too, them larger briggs singles aren't so common over here so its nice to see one getting tuned at as i have one waiting for the right tractor here also;) the steering on the stock mower axles leaves a lot to be desired lol, but yours certainly looks like a useful piece of kit Matthew, i have got all my mower tyres from tyre rite in England, they have a few good deals every wee while, worth keeping an eye on

Yep, a Craftsman. The serial number on the engine would suggest that it's an early 2000's model tractor. Not sure which model but I believe the model number under the seat starts with "907."
