| Thanks Doc and company! Glad to be here. You should know me from the FB page. Thought I would join up here as well. I'm 48, tore into my 1st small engine at around 5. Actually tore apart a couple of my grandfathers good ones. In typical Greatest generation fashion, he didn't get angry. He gave me several junk ones to tear into. He had me mowing on a Cub Cadet original by the time I was 7. Then onto a 64 Simplicity Landlord, then a Case 444 by the time I was 7. So yeh, been into this stuff for while. The offroad thing is sorta new to me. I say sorta, as my tractors have always gone off road. My wife and I own the 30 acres my grandfather owned, and it is mostly fields, woods and some swamp. So offroad it has always been. In any case, here is my ongoing offroad build. A JD LT133. Swapped in an 18 HP oppy. Lots to do, but it isn't my priority project. My wife and I own a small landscaping business, and ALL work is done with vintage GT's and mowing with vintage GT's or LT's. So the offroad build is being built with leaving it at a customers property weeks on end, to perform hauling tasks. | |
