A few minor changes will be or have already been made to fix some small issues that came up the last time. Here's a short video explaining a few things on the list.
Excellent update man! Still love this tractor. 1st tractor I voted for!

| What one person thinks is a dumb idea, someone else may think it's a great idea. lol, once I made an air filter from a sock over a spring. (Not saying if that was good or bad) Some work getting done on the simplicity. Extra under hood light and spare belt holder. Jack shaft brake and adjuster in the works Spare plug holder Spare 8hp engines and parts I picked up from my parts guy for a future spare engine build Custom Haspin/Atltf meet Helmet build. It's a $5 ebay special from the 70's. Even has a tag that says conforms to 1973 safety standards... Rear wheels off to fix the brakes and clean things up Hood repainted, another few days and it should be back together. A couple things on the list I won't be doing before haspin. To Do List... Top Priority: -Brake bands, flip over to smooth side to prevent rocks building up, smooth sharp edges on clamps -Air box, new foam shape and screen to hold foam in place Done, waiting on foam -Clutch brake, install/fab ---90% done, just needs one bracket welded to clutch arm -Clean out float bowl, new fuel lines and filter --- waiting on fuel line -Alternator switch replace, check all switches -Alternator belt tensioner, switch from spring to threaded adjustment - Hood rack, paint and install Done, just needs installed -Change oil, check tires, grease, check for loose bolts Low Priority: -Back up light, install No longer on the list before Haspin -Under hood light, install Done, needs one wire connection soldered -Mill Cylinder head, clean carbon, new gasket | |

| Thanks! And yeah about the plate, I have an aluminum plate that fits over the bolts, just didn't have it done yet for the pic. Then the plug holder is bolted under the hood too and I added some 1/4" bolts to route the wire through to the underhood light.
The underhood light will be always on with the dash light. When you want to make carb adjustments or just check on the alternator belt, It will be nice to not have to hold a flashlight. And everything in red of course so your night vision doesn't get wrecked.

| Wow, I'm impressed with the belt holder and spare spark plug holder. That's pretty neat. It's pretty nice to have a matching helmet as well, looks the part. It's always nice to have a spare engine you can just through in if the one in the tractor gives up. Nice work! | |

| Thanks. And sure anyone is welcome to steal my idea lol. I'll take more pics later of the cover that holds the belts. I wrote the belt numbers on it too so i can always find them. There might be a nicer way to make a holder without bolts like that. Maybe a hinged cover or something held with a clip or pin? Like a hood pin. I was going to do that but I figured this would be quick and easy. Should work ok. Any and all suggestions or ideas are not only welcomed but encouraged lol. | |

| The gas tank was built from a hydraulic reservoir on a paint sprayer, like for lines on a sports field and a toyota tacoma if I remember right. Not sure exactly on capacity, I should try to check it sometime. I think around 2.5 gallons? With only an 8hp engine, it should have pretty good range. That was one of the main reasons for using that engine besides being easier to work on and swap with it's smaller size.
Eventually, my plan is to build a matching off road trailer. That will have a place for a small gas can and extra supplies for longer trips. I'm going to build a small firewood trailer for haspin to get an idea of how an off road trailer would handle over rough terrain before building the real one. Kinda like a prototype.
2016 Haspin I didn't have any issue with running out of fuel.
The front wheels were from BMI karts website, they may still be on sale there for $20 each mounted
