Well here is my entry. I hope I can stay focused. LOL It a older JD180 I going to put JD110 round fenders on it, narrow front with a old axle tube. I have a Jacobsen grille but I think it will be to narrow. Also may use a JD110 hood. Pan seat gonna try to use old eliptical machine feet rest as the floor board I seen the idea on another build.

The two front wheels in the center is nice. Think someone tried that last year but cant remember who it was. Reminds me of those John Deere tractors from the 50's with the twin wheels in the middle and the steering shaft up over the bonnet.

Thanks. I hope I can pull it off. I never done anything like it. If you look in the background you can see my JD160 racing mower chasis sitting back there. 4" off the ground, I have had it on back burner forever. I may try to finish it as I finish this one as a side project.

Not much of a update. But pulled the rear tires. Which came off super easy for a transaxle sitting in the field for at least 4 years.  Didn't even have to spray wd40. But I am going to have to make angle iron brackets to hold the rear end in. Tansaxle brackets are different on my frame. Just trying to get it squared up now.

Thanks. I seen a pic of that tractor before I think. I like it.I didn't get jack done this week end. The brake caliper bolts snapped in the housing. Tried drilling bolts but I think they hardened. I have brand new bits an it aint touching em hardly. I tried heating with a torch but didnt wanna melt housing. So been online looking at other option's. I think I am gonna try like a go cart or pocket bike disc brake on it now. I have a friend with a junk yard so gonna rummage through it. Also need a JD 111 dash I think that is the dash route I am gonna go.

Well I have had a couple other little projects I had to squeeze in. Built my daughter a bicycle etc.. But I have been fighting with these rims forever. from warped steel to not being able to center the hub to my lathe not big enough to hold the insert. I had someone CNC plasma the inserts out. My father in law had a big enough lathe to true up the out side. My welds are getting better. Time to order tires now.

Now those are some nice rims! Did you play with the spacing any to where they stick out a little more?

Thanks they bout kicked my butt. got to get them to powder coater soon. I wanted to chrome em but think i just powder coating. The spacing is pretty much factory. Used a plasma cutter to cut the center out an rested the new centers on the old lip. I am pretty satisfied with the dish depth.

Did a little work on the tranny this week. I pulled it apart to lengthen the key way slot. Made a hub out of a pulley to hold the brake rotor from a scooter I am hoping it will work. My neighbor has a mill and added about 1" to the key way. I am glad I pulled the shift keys out. as you can see from the picture they are very chewed up. This trans came from the junk yard years ago an been sitting in the field.

Did a little shift key surgery, I didn't feel like buying 4 new shift keys so I welded them up an ground them down. It turned out decent I believe. Build -Off - John Deere "Super 16" [2016 Build-Off Entry] Pbucket

Yeah, I'm very familiar with shift keys. I have ground them down, and they don't seem to last as long as replacements, but it does work for a while. My problem is I grind them down too much and there is a very thin part left.

Thanks. I worry with it a bit. But this tractor wont get used to awful much. I will keep my fingers crossed. Well I got my steering wheel center delivered today. I could not wait an went ahead and welded it in. Still need to clean it up some but turned out OK so far. Still need to clean the lettering up a little bit.

if you are easy on it, it will be fine. But me, I'm running 25" atv tires on a peerless 930 trans with 3/4 axles and popping the clutch and holding weight of about 500 lbs of trailer on a hill does those keys in....

LOL yea I won't be doing any of that. But my racing mower is another story. Twisted Evil
That one I will hammer on way more. once I ever get it done. I am thinking about cutting the frame on this one now. From back to front it is more narrow. Once it gets by the pedals it really widen's out. I starting to not like that so may narrow the front. It'll fit my grille I have better also.
