picked this beauty up to build for a friend who wants to get into our sport. $50 isn't as good as free i know but not to bad.

$50 is a fair price - my top end is $75 ( ill go $100 on rare ocasions ) - but anything from free to $50 is definitly a fair price.

Years ago i bot a 96 MTD that had a 18.5HP twin for $50 - was worth it just for the motor.

i'm the same exact way. but lucky my friend will repay me for the cost of this build since its for him.

dam you have a lot of mowers siting around lol. both of my tractors that i have i've gotten for free (snapper and a john deere) my john deere is my current project that im working on i just need to replace the starter and safety switches on it.

Ya i hate seeing stuff go to the scrap yard to i guess i would probably do the same thing to.

Yea, and i mean its not like they're junk, you clean the carb and there go as new. A lot of people just aren't mechanically inclined, i guess.

Same here- heck for super cheep and freebies - why not? I suppose thats why i have 28 tractors . Some were pretty bad, but didnt take much to get the motors running. Id like to get more but between my wife saying 'NO' and not seeing any really cheep around - im at a collecting stand still. Hopefully my nephew will come thru and hook me up soon.

ya usually when i see a lawn mower that is free or really cheap ill try and jump on the deal. but right now i haven't really seen very many deals lately.

doesn't it always seem like you find a bunch of deals in a row, but then you cant find any?

ya to me it seems like when ever you are looking for something for sale/free you there's aren't any but when your not looking for something for sale/free there's a bunch for sale/free.

i hate wires.
