LAWN RANGER craftsman mudmower

I've had this craftsman for a while never really did anything big but this time I want to try something new so I'm entering in the 2015 build off // so this is my 80-90 craftsman square hood style it has a 12hp motor a 5 speed peerless 930 and I have many many mods to be done on it

What is in store for this ol' girl

So did some work on it last Wednesday I took the motor out to every wire out because they were all melted and jacked up lol took everything that involves the deck off because I'm takeing everything off I don't need and I cleaned up the frame a lil

And today I found a peace of sheet medal lying around so I bent it up to make a skid plate and painted it all up

The paint isn't dry yet but it's bed liner with flat black on top

I made it do some flexing on my old mud mower but I'm takeing all the part off it and putting them on this craftsman but as u can see the skid plate looks and works good

Cool looking skid plate. What kind of engine is supposed to be going on this thing?

I'm putting that 16 hp B&S ohv single cylinder with the name toro on it but its the black motor on that tan tractor in the pic

sorry guys for not updateing this but the reason why is beacaue we have had the internet go and witch then we had to get a computer then that went out so im alsomst done with this rig but I got my briggs 16hp ohv motor on the craftsman I got 16 inch nobbys on the front there is 20x7x8 trail wolf atv tires on the rear I love them, I got the hole thing painted camo I got bumpers front and rear there is a atv rack on it and nerf bars the tranny is locked pulley swap done THIS TRACTOR IS DONE ALL IT NEEDS IS A BELT I drove it a coulpe of day ago it dose good for a motor that hasn't run in 2 years and a tractor that's been sitting in my yard for 3 years lol pics when my computer stops being a peace of crap

the motor is brobly the best motor ive ever owned its a briggs 16hp single cylinder with ohv it has the adjusted govener like fearlessfront showed us on his youtube

heres my knobby on the front there 16inches tall on the stock 6 inch rim there loseing tread so before the build off ends there should be sno gogs on the front


I made some wire mesh for the head lights so keep crap out of them


but as you can see the mesh makes it look beast but ill post more pics later

Camo came out good.

I like the skid plate. One on the transaxle would serve a better purpose though.

yeh Im going to I just done have anymore sheet medal and yeh the camo did come out well just for some reason those pics are as big as they can get

well I got my front bumper on and my winch

its on blocks so I could see how high and where to drill holes to bolt it on

here's a update I've been working hard on it and its really turning out good and I hope you guys like it
so I decided to make the camo a little better so I got some pine needle and sprayed over it to  make a pattern

and I also dropped the tranny its a peerless 920 5speed and took the hole thing apart to clean the grees out and run gear oil
ill have more updates as they come and hope you guys like what you see

I made my foot gas pedal and it works nicely

I got my trail wolf tires off my tan mtd there 20x10x8 but they are a different then most these have thicker tread and has a different pattern then the ones every one else has

here is almost the finished project all it needs is a rear pulley belt and seat and it will be done

That camo worked out good. Almost looks like a printed sticker or something.

thanks but I think im going to redo the paint same desing but more time put into it because I just threw that paint on

here's the first time I drove it and it was awesome

and I drove it for a while and went over bumps and a big hill and all of a sudden it stated smoking and shut off, so idid some research and found out the pcv breather was letting oil into the carb like fearlessfront murray so I fixed that problem heres some pics


as you can see where the muffler shot all the oil out onto my hood

and sadly it only has 3 inches of flex so im thinking about make it get more flex is that a good idea

I didn't even notice the screen across the headlight holes. Nice.
