18.5hp opposed twin?

There is a 18.5hp opposed twin on craigslist near my area for $100 is that a good deal? But it needs a starter... He says it's $30 on Amazon and I found one on eBay that I think will work... Just needing some help cause I don't know if that's a good price... He says it's in good condition and looks very clean in pictures... But here is eBay ad for starter if that will work?

No, pretty sure thats for a intek single cyl. Is it just straight up missing the starter or is it bad? You can rebuild em, or if it needs a starter gear thats cheap too.

No you need one with a cast mount / Housing.

shoot me a PM if you cant find a starter, these guys are pointing you in the right direction though. i have one off my opposed that i THOUGHT was bad, but im not positive that it is actually bad. if you want it, its yours. its the old birdcage style

that is the correct starter for a opposed. I think $100 is a bit high, but you could talk him down a bit.

so, since its missing a starter, take 35 bucks off the price of the engine. if he is smart, he'll go for it

yeah that's what I was going to do about it.

Just asking cause I don't know... If I was to buy it... How much if (I fixed it up and got it to run) how much could I sell it for $250? More? Less?

ok... Well kinda so much for this post... Because the engine sold to someone else today... I wasn't really sure if I wanted it anyway... Kinda looking for something else anyway... But not sure if I should take this post down... I mean it has good info.
