| I found this on craigslist . He wants $125 for it. I get paid on the 12th and I might just go pick it up! What do y'all think ? The ad reads as follows : was in my dads garage for years. I,m sure it needs work, maybe use it for parts. mower has no belt or blades, is loose from the tractor. may run with little effort, I don't know! Sold as is. jerry EDIT: I looked on Google for a Hesston frontrunner 200 and I can't find ANYTHING about this thing. Not sure if they are rare or this dude does not know the brand / model

| Alright so I've been talking to the dude back and forth with emails. It belonged to his father who has passed. His dad was a "pack rat" who collected many sears tractors. He told me that it is an kohler hp unknown horiz twin gas and it turns it is not froze. Look at the pictures of this thing! I am going to ask him about the sears / any other mowers he might have up for sale He has 5 or 6 sears for parts and 1 with an onan twin on it. $100 for that. Pic of sears :

| Sounds like you're gunna need a bigger wallet. I think value of that sears to a collector increases a lot because of the deck | |

He told me $175 for both. He has not posted the sears on CL yet so he has no offers on it

| I have a few questions I am wondering if you guys could tell me if you know -Model of the sears - Does the engine look like it is all there on the frontrunner? I did more research after the dude told me that he knows it as a hesston frontrunner 200. He sent me this picture saying that this is the only identification he could find. and I still can not find anything that looks like it. All of them are 4 wheels and this one is 3 wheels. That sets something off in my head thinking it is rare or not many made. What do you think ? | |

It could be one of those special ones that are made for golf courses or something. If the motor is stock you may be able to find a year on the model# of the motor. Then, find the year the machine was made.

| My main goal is to purchase the Front runner. From what I have talked to him about it has sat inside a garage for like 9 years and was his dads pride and joy, Kind of upsetting to see him sell it this cheap. The last time it ran was 3-5 years ago and other then the belts and blades most of it it there. I don't think I would keep the deck since my lawn is gated and that would not fit in the gate. Looking at the pictures hes sent me it does not appear to be in that bad of shape other then cosmetic. I am currently trying to work on a price with him and I am going to see if he will deliver otherwise I have to hire my friend to haul it home. | |
