I've got a lifted LT 1000 craftsman. I locked the rear fearless front style it works great but the turning radius sucks now. I have a wide body muarry parts mower with a good 5 spd rear how much trouble would it be to put it under my craftsman

No I don't like the locked trans axle at all. My craftsman is a center shift and muarry a side shift that's the only difference I can see. I'm sure I could fab it up to be center shift

might have to fab up some mounts, the locked one is probably a peerless MST-206, the murray is probably a spicer 4630. different mount pattern. as far as shifter, just pop a hole in the fender.
id be happy to take that locked one off your hands... just sayin
Where are you wheeling? I'd understand if you drive a lot on pavement where locked transaxle turning is the worst. But if that's where you are mostly, then you didn't really need to lock it in the first place. Mine turns good locked with good front tires.
We go mudding at a big mud park by my house in fl. The tractor never sees hard top the tires on the front are 20x10x8s stock rears off craftsman with 25x11x10s on the rear
