1989 cr125r Frozen engine Attempt fix (NEED BIKE MECHANICS TO LOOK)

Ok so this is my 1989 cr125r. " />600 bucks we paid and 18 days in, engine locked up :smash:started tearing it down today with my dad and i ran into a cigrit, one of the jug nuts is starting to strip. and i got no idea what to do now. i need help to solve this soon before i say screw it lol Thanks

Its enclosed by about 60 percentby the engine, i can only get a wrench for what probly should be a socket job, i got the other 3 loose but this ones being an ass

When i did a catilic converter on my moms truck my dad stripped a manifold nut. brought it to a shop where they used sockets that act like a reverse easy out, they grab and dig into the nut and peel it off. they must work good, because we stripped it with a impact gun, and they zinged them off with those special sockets just as easy.

cant use sockets for it the way it sits on the engine but im gonna see again just to be sure lol

i started going through random wrenches and one of em hugged it good and i got it! lmao sorry for wasting your time red

Its absolutely fine man, good job not stripping it out, i think i know what you mean by you cant get a socket on it. Maybe the link will help other people out that didnt know those extractor sockets existed.

Ok now that i got that figured out, now onto the real problem. The motor was "frozen" so i thought BUT after about 8 hrs of teardown and trial and error, ive concluded that the piston is nut stuck it is the kicker that is messed up. You cant kick the kick start, but i opened up the head and did some magic and the piston moves SO im assuming it has to deal with that setup. I have no idea what im doing so if anybody has 2 stroke dirt bike experiance mechanically, i need to talk to you ASAP!

What do you need to know?

i got the kickstart going, but itll spin the crankshaft gear about half way that it wont turn, i got a socket and put it on the nut and tried to turn it and it turned fine, but when id go back to use the kickstart it would do that again, plus its skippin teeth when it tight like that

Sounds like the teeth on the ratchet starter are worn down/stripped so when you kick it over which is putting a load on it the gears on the ratchet starter are slipping.
