| just an update, the garage is still being redone so the mower remains in the bed of my truck, but i did bring in the RWS tranny wich is pretty cool how they are put together, mine you remove 4 bolts and you can remove the whole knuckle im gonna take down the gear ratios and final drives of this tranny, im planning on clearing it out and replacing with gear oil and rtv the casings together, thats about it heres some pics the only shaft not covered by the casing besides the brake shaft, i found this small peice of plate plugging the end of the shaft with some type of putty also notes on the suspension, not to sure of how i could do it now realising that the knuckle brakes will be straight in the spot i was originally planning on mounting leaf springs, i could always do a spring under axle set up, we will have to see | |

| thanks alll! and moose ive had it for over a year now been throwing around the idea of the front suspension the original plan of running it ontop the axle was foiled when i realised the knuckle brackets where in the way, but the more i thunked, i can do a spring under and run the leafs under the axle heres a pic of what i drew up the 4 bolt hold bracket is the knuckle bracket, would do a cross support with a stabilizer link to help keep it in place and axle twist. also make brackets from the original front tranny supports to go up to the leafs and clamp to help support it even more my concerns is i dont want this being tooo high off the ground, so idk if the drive shaft will be long enough because i have to make it telescoping, also worried i might weaken the leafs by drilling two holes to mount, lastely worried ill get the wrong spring rate and it will be too soft, or be too stiff to where it doesnt flex at all | |
