| Yeah. Could always take the pull starting bits (which means the crankshaft too) off the 10h and put it on your 11h then you'd have a pull start back up. | |

| MisterModifed, Have you ever considered a 250x or 300ex carb? there pretty cheap and since your not running the governer anyways should be well within your abilitys to make a intake and jet the carb properly. would add some good punch to the bottom end being a pumper carb also | |

| Actually, I've never heard of them. What brand are they? I think the flooding issue I have on bumps with this carb is due to there being a little too much pressure built up with the fuel pump. I was going to try running a bleed off line from the downstream side of the pump to the upstream side. Just a small line to let off 90% of the fuel pressure, so it would be like running a gravity feed system. It seems to run ok on a flat for the most part. In general it doesn't like full throttle, even when it gets flooded 75% throttle clears it out better than wide open. Wide open makes it cut out. At the moment I'm focusing my efforts on the new build off project which will have a tecumseh side draft on an 8hp flathead briggs. I've had good luck using tecumseh carbs for the most part. | |

| yeah thats it, its actually a 2 stroke carb, but is used widely on 4 stroke engines, I've been using them for years with the pit bikes, the AFR mixture screw actually adjusts the air instead of the fuel which is something to watch out for if you ever encounter one! | |

| Oh yeah, still working. Drive belt is about at the end of it's life though. The clutch design doesn't take up much stretch. | |

| I think it was Friday. Not 100% sure. Can't remember if it was after the rain or not. I went out into the stream a little with the simplicity, but the bottom is soft gravel and I didn't want to get buried was out in the middle. Almost like driving through sand. You can only go so far down stream before you run out of land. | |

| Baja Sears in the work shop after Haspin for cleaning and paint touch up. Thinking of finally listing it for sale soon. Paint scuffed off the galvanized rub rails. Large areas of paint flaked off the rear fender. Mostly the right fender. Stickers on both fenders we're pretty scratched, peeled this one off. Once I re-paint, I'll put new stickers on. Rear bumper heavily chipped from hitting things and towing with a chain. Paint worn off gas tank from the tool bag that was strapped there during the 2015 PA trip. You can see the ding in the bumper from where I rammed into it with the simplicity at Haspin. Spare steering arm zip tied on for quick access. Both front shocks have always kicked out a small amount of oil. Which gets coated with dust. A lot of the frame is covered with mold spots from being in the garage. Most of that was actually there before Haspin, I was busy with the simplicity and didn't clean it all off. Either way, the muddy Haspin conditions left a hard to remove film on the tires and frame, so everything needs to be scrubbed down before touching up the paint. Excess grease on all grease points. Paint dug off the hub caps. We have some work to do to get this thing back up to show quality. I might letter on the shift pattern after touching up everything else. | |

| Yeah, the stock charging coil will hardly keep up at idle with two incandescent type headlights and a tail light. With all four head lights on it would discharge the battery. With the alternator you've got power to spare. The stock charging coil is still in the engine actually. I thought of rigging it up as a backup but never did. | |
