The higher front end might help in your trail blazing adventures.

Something I want to do for mine is cut out a bunch of triangles, put a bevel on 2 sides and bolt them together. If they are beveled right, they will either cut, or rip, or simply pull out weeds and small trees. I also want to do that for my lawn chief grass cutter,as there are time I go over something and it pops back up.

Maybe you can do something similar to help in you trail blazing adventures. Though, I wouldnt recommend them sticking out front if your machine goes very fast... ofcourse, it could always be under the thing....

I saw on a truck forum the other day that a higher front end does help getting through mud, and some people run trucks like that. I guess it would be the same about lawn mowers. It looks just like an old craftsmen, AYP most have made it for them to

I think you should leave the front end how it is, like others said it may help going through brush, but if you leave it like that to go through brush you will get twiggs and crap stuck up in the underside of your tractor.
