What have you done to your tractor today?

I loaded mine on the trailer strapped it down.
When I was pulling it it to the area where I was going to go mudding I turned the corner and apparently one the straps fell off and it went and rolled over and got smashed up I busted the engine off the mounts.
So I just had a grate day

I got my belt in the mail and installed it and added an idler pulley to give even more grab. Fabbed a belt retainer out of a hunk of computer case metal and all is well. I also noticed the crank seal is weeping oil. Are those easy to remove and replace without pulling the engine? I have a slide hammer if necessary.

Moved it over in the garage so I could get past it.

I worked around it, so I could work on it.

Today, I moved everything out of the way, and finally replaced the thermostat and power steering hose on my trooper.

Did that, to finally get it done, so tomorrow I can get back to working on the WHAMS.

yesterday I welded up a single tine ripper out of some scrap. Used it on the Massey's sleeve hitch to dig a trench to run power out to my back garage. Worked awesome.

i drove my huskee off raod into my pond (on purpose) and got stuck ( not on purpose) really bad, the tires sucked to the mud got my winch all the way undone and the cable was to short but i got it out thankfully or my dad would of been PO

I changed the gear oil in the Massey's axle yesterday

Got my tractor runnin the hard way

Took stuff part and painted rust.

I think I stripped the shift fingers in my transmission.    It skips wicked bad in 1st and 5th. I don't know why it doesn't skip in 2,3 or 4. Maybe it's the gears too? Time to pull it apart. Peerless 920.    

pushed it 100 feet across the yard in the rain and wished i had some gas to drive in the rain stupid twin where did my gas go

Bought another tractor because it was cheap...

Brought home my new JD 212 yesterday.A charged battery and a little ether had her running. Now for a cleanup, new plugs and starting the plans for modding. Gonna use it for farmwork and playing. Wife even giggled when it cranked.

Motor swapped the craftsman square body from the techumseh 12hp to a 20hp Kohler vtwin, and  it's fast and still has the stock pulleys lol.

put some air in the tires so they wouldnt dry rot and how many tractors and all do you have k2500life

today i put my racing/offroad mower in the garage to start working on it

Watched some tractor pulling with my younger brother the other day. Think he might be interested in tractors, so I pulled out a parts machine from the back yard and got it running. Had an extra 5" pulley for the front, and a 6" for the rear. Started mocking them up, but I have to pull the trans to get the new pulley on and the shifting action is very stiff. Need to find out what's binding.

We'll likely use it for mud and trails.

This is all on a 90's green Craftsman with 5 or 6 speed and a 19hp B&S opposed twin. It looked like the easiest to get going. The hard part will be getting the right belt with the new pulleys.

Not going to lock it or put aggressive tires on, just want to speed it up a little and make it reliable. I suppose reliable also means removing all the safety switches and rewiring....

I finally got the Peerless 920 back together and took the Murray for a spin.  I used a gear set from a 930 and it fit like a glove.  There's a difference in the ratios though: The 930 has lower 2nd through 4th gears, so now I'm starting out in 3rd. I may eventually do another pulley swap since 1st gear is still useless.

Also took the motor out of the golf cart and fit the Snowmobile engine into it.  Lots of work to be done there...  But that's another story for another forum.

My 930's 1st is a creepy crawl, especially at idle. Good for creeping around tight woods, about it.

That golf cart sounds interesting. Id like to see some of it.

I will post pics and vids as soon as I get some. My phone sux for that stuff, so I'll be relying on others to txt or email me the files.

It's a Yamaha golf cart originally with a 300cc 4stroke motor, belt driven CVT snowmobile style clutches. So it's a no-brainer to swap with a sled motor. We have a 440 FC Suzuki Spirit motor from a panther. Sorta lame, but it should go ok. I'd rather stick with Yamaha and get a 540 FC from like a SRV/XLV/Phazer. But We're doing this on the cheap.

Sent a guy on craigslist a message trying to buy his green craftsman and trailer for $50... No reply yet...

got our newly acquired westwood mower up and running, it had been sitting in a barn for a few years, did the fearlessfront flywheel mod and she started up after a few pulls

Replaced a section of fuel line so now the first foot and a half off the tank is steel and tied fast to the frame.

What's a Westwood? And what's FF's flywheel mod? Sounds cool... Your pic didn't load for me.
