| considerations I would take into account
1. protection from damage 2. ease of access for jump starting 3. ease of removal / install

| Make a mount somewhere. MTD for some stupid reason decided to use Powersport batteries instead of L&G batteries. Head Forum Administrator ** Chat Moderator ** Facebook Page AdminATLTF Facebook Page ** Chatbox ** How To Upload Pictures

When faced with a situation like that, I try to find a plastic box that can work as a battery tray/box and bolt it to the back of the mower and run new cables. If the location is impractical I adapt the same method to move it up closer to the engine somewhere. When it works it works very well and keeps the battery protected. |

Both of my Mtds have regular tractor batteries.. Ive only seen 1 with the motorcycle battery.. Just mount it under the seat cut it out and make a tray..

| Made a larger bracket from the existing bracket on my Gazelle . This was made out of Angle Iron welded on to existing bracketry. I can now fit a full size battery in the original position | |
