You think that is sad, you should see all the tractors that are put into the tin dumpster at my scrap yard. Every time I go there has to be 4 or 5 laying in there, and the scrap yard wont sell them neither, once there in the dumpster they are scrap. People need money so bad that they just junk anything.

Yeah i tried to get a 18HP opposed MTD out of the transfer station- of course they wouldnt let me..... you know damn well one of them took it home at the end of the day.

Like alot of others, you pretty much need to know someone that works there to get stuff cheep out of dump/scrap yard.

been there, done that with the shopping at the transfer station. but at the local scrap yard, my guys are cool. they just charge me the going rate for what they give. i got tractors for $5
