Hey guys birthday was yesterday and got some money from the family. Jus bought a new set of 22x11-8s for the rear and not sure what I want to use my money on. You guys think I should buy a little winch for the front or get bigger more aggressive front tires? I ride mostly mud and rocks so a winch would be cool but if I had aggressive tires all around I may not need it?

Do what I do upgrade the rear and put the old rears on the front. Your tractor will always grow if u keep upping the back tires lol.. or you could put a winch on if u romp by yourself alot. I usually have buddies to pull me out if I get over my head..

They're the stock crappy turfs 16x6-6. If I were to buy tires I'd be doing the front spindle mod and 18x6.5-8 snow hogs. The ones on now are showing their age with dry cracks.

Winch it Trust me it is worth every sent knowing no matter what you will get out. I have to mud alone most of the time. It has saved me many a call to the neighbors.

Id say winch, just looks cool haha, if I was to get one to, how fast does it drain the battery? I was thinking of buying a second battery just for the winch.
I have yet to drain mine. pulled out 20+ logs with it and had to start it up about every 5th log to charge back up. But if the engine is running there has yet to be a use limit so far up to 10 minutes or so of use. I always let the winch cool after that.
This is my setup

The larger front tires will help some with offroading. They roll over larger obstacles and ruts more easily, not to mention adding ground clearance. But, like said above- the winch is worth every cent if you like to fly solo! I've pulled myself out many times already, and it's just brilliant knowing you can attempt ANYTHING knowing damned good and well that you won't be hiking home for help.
I'm running a stock battery with my 1500lb winch and have not killed it. When I am winching, I just keep the engine RPM up.
Ultimately, you are best to have both larger front tires and a winch. If you have to choose one now and the other later, I'd say winch first. The tires roll easier in the crap, but stuck is stuck...
