if i could redo mine, id do a 6, or at the very most a 8, mine is a 10" and its way to much lol, also, when you lift it move you front axle as far front as you can, and it wouldn't hurt to slide the rear axle back 1 or 2", the 27" tires will clear with a 6" lift, if you slide the tranny back 2 inches, but remember that the best thing to do when doing the lift, is going to be to have the size of the tires known, and then build the lift based of that, whe i built mine, i built it for a 5" difference in tires, and now that i only have a 2" difference, i have to redo my front lift,if you get the tire size you want figured out for the front and the back post them and ill help you with the size lift you will need, because it will be different on the front and the back, and you have to accommodate that, for example, on mine, it has a 10 on the back, and will have a 6 on the front when i redo the front, that is the length of the actual lift i built for it, but then the tires on the front add into it and give it the rest and same on the back, my frame is sitting right at 10 inches higher than stock, and its to high lol

call me odd, or old school or whatever else you choose but the mockup you have here is what I'd do right off... still, it sounds like you have it figured out pretty well good luck in your build!

I would lift it just enough to clear the tires you want to run, move the front end as far forward as possible and move the rear back at least 2 inches just for safety and stability. You may want to look around more for tires there are ALOT of options ive got some ams swamp foxes and I love them they have over 1 inch tread if you go with a 26 inch or bigger, ive got 25s and there great but let me warn you they hook lol I ripped the hub of my axle doin wheelies lol.

Bear claws do not have good traction, if you want traction in all terrains get some Duro Mud & Sand Tires, I ran 22x12x8's on my little murray and those duro's held up full of water, doing wheelies at full throttle and climbing hills and mudding.
