yea i think he is, but he is mounting a horizontal engine n it, i want to use the stock gearbox on this one so it has reverse, i might see bout gettin my 12.5 teccy running for it

A rat rod, sounds cool

a rat rod is good, but you should give it some off road features

ive always wanted to do a racing/ ratrod mower with the sloped back and tough looking. id go for it!

those mowers are good for race mowers cause their small and already pretty low to the ground... just a suggestion

wel its going to be a rat rod, got the basic design figured out, but as of right now it aint getting worked on cause i have other projects going on, but its getting either 16" or 18" in the back and 10" in the front to give a mean stance

spent a ll time on this today, getting some of the broke stuff off, the rear axle doesnt have a keyway, it has holes in it for you to bolt the rims to lol its weird, but the gear box is in really good shape, and all the metal is good, no deep rust, the hood is shot so ima have to fabricate one for it. the steering wheel is stuck on there really good, letting it soak in some pb blaster for a lil while and try and get it off. i think my 18 twi kohler will fit in it good tho so thats a plus

well, this isnt getting a twin, if all goes well tomorrow with the 18 kohler oppy, its going in the lifted one, and this will get the 16 hp single that is in the lifted,still need axle, sprockets, and some stuff broke loose(steering lol),the sprocket on the gearbox is a 6 tooth, if i run a 1-1 ratio from the engine to the ragb, what size should i run on the axle to get good speed?

idk, kinda, but wasn't MK1 a full size lt? this is a mini, so its light as all get out

planning on running 18" or 20" tires on the rear, and the front tires off a snapper rer, give it a mean stance, going to have a small wheelie bar, with a hitch because ima make a mini trailor to put behind it to hold a cooler for car shows

You have a great little platform to start with, and if its that small, even a tiny little engine with the right gearbox behind it will get up and move...

yea, i think the 16 hp will make her fly lol,
in other news, i bought a honda motorcycle today, aint been running in many many years, but did run when it was parked,im going to try to get it running, wish me luck, im picking it up tomorrow, if it gets running, then ima fix it up to drive around, or....it might get put on something else........
