| Straight pipes! as long as they are at least 18 inches long and have a good bend or two in them it wont hurt your motor... You should run them out the back under the fenders run a seperate one for each cylinder and for the last 8 inches put big 2 1/2 or 3 inch pipes but from the motor to the end use lik 3/4 inch or 5/8 inch pipe... hope this helps... Nice motor wont be hard to make that beast sound beastly | |

Yeah you could give this a try.

| Its been my experience that twins can only really sound like a twin. but a big resonant empty chamber might help.
A good audio tech could probably design a box that would bounce the sound wave around the can, with out too much volume loss.
Or you could design a system of flappers that shuttle individual exhaust pulses to separate pipes, and run 4 pipes out each side.
Actually, to think about it. A simple 4 vaned rotor in the exhaust flow would probably interrupt it enough to simulate 8 cylinder sound waves. It would take 1 in easch pipe with a crossover tube.
BTW, on the subject of eexhaust, a crossover tube is used to increase lower end torque on dual exhaust systems.

| Mine was two feet of 3/4 inch piping and a small can with holes drilled in the sides inside of a large can with a flapper on top | |

| ok... good ideas, im going to run them down to under the running boards, and curve them to have the tips pointed out, maybe put some expanded mesh metal on the end for support and looks, then use high heat spray paint to give it some color, or i could do that can idea, i dont know, whatever sounds cooler | |

| I know how to tune 2 stroke, they're exhaust is like a non mowing supercharger. But not so familiar with tuning on 4 strokes. Well imagine the engine is a speaker, then to make it sound massive it should help with a box with crossover pipes with no filling off course. Straight pipes are plain noisy and not very healthy for the engine I guess. Not in the long run, if you think about it, the flames it shoots out would be best kept in the cylinder to kick the piston down, and not to leave the cylinder | |
