general lee tractor

ok, i have been working on my tractor recently and i would like to mix 3 variables together: fast, atv-like, and for show. first thing that came to mind, a general lee themed tractor. so, i am going to paint it orange and put the same decals on it as the car did. also, make it go about 25 pinned in 6th gear. for tires, im thinkin 20-23" back knobbys, and turf-saver fronts. I want to build a sports style muffler to make the 19hp opposed twin sound sorta like the 440 in the car (any suggestions?). the bumper is going to be the exact same too, and i want to put a real charger steering wheel on it. For finishing touches, a dixie horn! so, i need to ask you guys your opinion on it and i need all the help possible, and if i do this (i have to wait for money to do it), pictures and vids will come!

Sounds like a plan. If you intend on jumping it see about some front suspension maybe?

Yeah mabe you could do somthing like an A-arm suspension.

a kid at my school is going to paint his orange 01 on the side, he has a horn, and put the flag on the hood

i would like to jump it but i am on a strict budget, so i want to get basic stuff done before it gets suspension and stuff like that, so im just going to play it by year. i hope to have a video and some pictures tommarow.

now that i think about it my friend did that too!

You can jump about anything.... you just need to be able to clean up the mess

Me too, seems to me I remember an incident ivolving a 70's vintage ten speed bicycle and a picnic table.

Awesome, do it! I have no idea how to get a hemi sound out of a twin, maybe just go wit a simple straightpipe or side pipe. My tractor has no exhaust what so ever (sorry rules) and it sounds like a race car.

My old v twin sounded like my vette....straight piped all the way to the back, I'll get the measurements and all later on

i was planning a pipe with a small pancake muffler that ran to under the running boards to try not to get the cops called on me, trust me, ive got the cops called on me before even though its stock, the worst part is i live in a very small town where people dont care about things!!!!!!!!!

Oooh ya you'll want to run quiet if you live in a neighborhood.

Out here you can be as loud as you want! Just about every day in the summer my neighbor is shooting something.

Is this from converting or from the camera, looks like a codec error.

it was fine when i watched it in windows movie maker to preview it, then after it went on youtube it changed into that.

ok, update time!! ive found almost everything for this build now its just a matter for me to get money for it. and alot more videos that will be in better quality will be up soon because i got an old smartphone to record them on. when i start the build i will move to another thread, so be on the look out!!
