so.....how should i run the exhaust on dixie witht the 29 hp? true duals all the way to the back coming out the corners of the rear fenders? or 2 into 1 ? i don't want to do stacks,
also, ima have to cut a hole in the hood for the air breather lol. this motor is huge Razz its 105 lbs dry
105lb wow lucky my oppy is 130 something .-. and for your mufflers i would run them out the rear get like 1" pipe for the headers to the front of the foot rest then get some 3" tube and run it from that 1" all the way out the rear Very Happy that will give it a nice deep rumble at idle and at max throttle she will be screaming lol

I think my V-twin way about 115-120lbs but i do know my mower will not pick up the front end if im tryin to do wheelies it will pick it
up like 3-4 inches.
My exhaust header is a 1" pipe and the stacks are made of 1 1/4 pipe without mufflers it would have a good sound.
As of now it it sounds alittle lounder than a atv.
But i would do true duals.

Good exhaust plan that's fairly easy to do on a lifted the one on my rally should come out below the footrests.

yea, my racer is going top come out at the foot rest, this should sound good, coming off that big motor, but ima experiment with making a mini glasspack and a mini flowmaster for it to see how it sounds lol

affraid Why not run 1" pipe all the way? Would it affect the running or sound? That is whatI was planning to do on my handicapped utility machine.

it will sound good with 1" al the way back, but to me it always sem to get a deeper tone when you step up to a bigger pipe, when i get the money ima proll cut this off at the back of the foot rest and run 2"out the reat of the way, that is if my mufflers dont work

I will be interested to see how the homebrew exhaust comes out. I built my own Cherry Bomb that came out perfect. I was going to do a writeup, but can't find half my pictures. So, I think I'm going to do another one and shoot new pics. But I will try to describe it for you here-

You'll have to choose or make a cylinder to serve as the outer chamber. Cap the ends, and use a holesaw in each end just big enough for your chosen pipe to fit through. The inner pipe is the trick part. You get a length of pipe the same diameter as the rest of the exhaust system. Make it much longer than the cylinder, and mark the cylinder's position on the pipe. With an 0.045" cutting disc on the grinder, cut slots in the pipe, less than halfway through, every 3/8" or so along the pipe, all the way from one mark to the other. Now, flip the pipe over 180* and slot all down the other side. Cut one deep slot right in the middle of the pipe almost all the way through, and weld a round slug of sheetmetal into the slot. This makes a center stop. Insert the pipe through the cylinder, and weld on. Now- the exhaust gasses enter the inlet pipe and hit the stop. They are forced out of the pipe through all those slots into the outer chamber. When they reach the end of the outer chamber, the gasses are forced back through the slots into the pipe, and out.

I used a fairly large, heavy-walled cylinder for mine, and it sounds fantastic. Nice deep tone, not incredibly loud. When you rev it, you get a "Braaap" sound like a Harley. I really gotta take new pics and do that write-up...

well guys, the 29 will start, but it wont stay running for more than about 10 seconds, i pretty sure its cause of the electric fuel shut off, because i don't have this thing wired to anything yet, what yall think, also......this thing sounds awesome lol and has really good torque, so if ya'll read this and think of an answer, either post it here, or come to chat, either way ill make sure the answer to the problem ends p on here for future reference

ATV park? You dont have your own property to tear up? A lot of my riding is actually done on neighboring fields and woods. I do fairly little on mine.
